lol...quit yer *****in'. We just dropped 37 on a team that was averaging surrendering about 16 ppg on defense. We don't do the "situational RB" thing anymore, so it's time to get used to it.

Altho, I did call Julius' run long, and I called it hard. I turn to my buddy and say "Here comes Julius' patented 'SLAM INTO THE HOLE NO MATTER WHAT' move".

Robot my ***, lol.

usual over reaction. Funny how MB3 never gets jobbed for all the times he screws up but JJ gets put on the rack ALL the time.

MB3 rarely screws up, and he rarely goes down on first contact. Julius gets put on the rack because he deserves it, he was the main one leading the 'I'm a changed man' charge now that BP is gone - well, everyone else has decided to play championship caliber football, but him.

So he'll stay on that rack until he goes off into the pasture (Denver).

Taking a knee at the end of the first half peeved me. We had plenty of time to try move into field goal range.
That was a head scratcher for me as well.

MB3 running sideways and getting -2 is not screwing up, but JJ hitting a hole and getting 2 is screwing up???

I am frustrated with JJ, but I think he gets too much flak and MB3 doesn't get enough.

This perfection thing is infuriating; the team isn't being graded against NE and hindsight is 20/20. There's going to be some play calls that don't work. It's not like the Packers are the caliber of the Jets.

My guess is the Pats don't lose their next game, but one of the two after that. They don't look perfect anymore, even if their record says otherwise.

In the second play that you mentioned, I would have kicked the field goal. I'm still a bit puzzled about why we would go for it in that situation.

We've seen JJ have big games in the past. I think he might need more reps to get back to his old form. I don't think he can get anything going getting the limited snaps he gets. Maybe a change of scenery would help him. I see no need to resign him.

Both backs have a tendency to slow down toward the line of scrimmage, it's just that Barber is doing it to cut back and JJ is doing it to tuck the ball in and dive at our O-line's backsides.

It is frustrating to watch him run into the pile if there isn't a running lane open directly in front of him.

i was upset that we went for it on 4th and 2.....I wanted to kick the FG.....I wanted some points to come out of our opening drive.....plus, Nick Folk is my fantasy kicker and that would have been a 50+ yd FG, and would have given me 5 pts.

Since we did go for it, I would have preferred a bootleg with Romo where he passes it to a back or TE that was pretending to block, then going out into a shallow pattern.....or having Romo merely bootleg and run for the 1st.

btw, anyone know that Ryan Grant was Julius' backup at ND?

Yep, I'm an ND fan and it baffles be how Grant is doing good because he sucked at ND (IMO - I hated him). He was actually the starter the year Julius was academically inelgible and then shared carries the year he came back.

I think both of those plays were designed to go down field but Romo dumped them off due to pressure.

The first one Romo should have just thrown at the receivers feet for an incompletion.

The second one was a called screen to Barber I am pretty sure.

On the 4th down, I would have liked to see Romo roll out, .. he could either run a couple of yds for the first down, throw it short for a 5 yd gain, or luck out and hit someone deep.

I would not run JJ in that short yardage situation.

JJ the Fembot is nothing more than a backup at this point, his backers are in complete denial or just plain blind one of the two. The only reason he continues to "start" is because Wade doesn't want to mess with chemistry.

All you have to do is listen to the commentary of most of those covering Cowboys' games, it seems readily apparent that most (or make that all) coaches fear and respect MBIII far more than they do JJ.

Back to the orginal point of this thread....the first call I can live with. The second was a travesty....a horrible call with the wrong personnel.

The 1st play was actually a pretty good playcall. I think 9 times out of 10 we make that first down.

The 2nd play was infuriating. Marion should have been in the game there.

That's how I feel, exactly.

We only had 30 seconds and why risk something dumb. I think the decision was because we were getting the ball in the 2nd half. If not, we probably would have tried to score.
