Two QBs Invited to camp

It's technically tryouts. But most likely mini-camp arms - someone has to throw the receivers and backs the ball. NFL won't even let them use DiNucci in the the rookie minicamp.

Yeah it’s this.

They have them come to some closed practices with other players on the Bubble and see how they perform before offering a contract. Invited for Auditions more like

According to the Cowboys' web site, they have, "invited," two QBs to camp.
Invited? Never heard that one before. Does it mean they offered a contract?
Have the invited players yet to decide?

They have invitees every year basically as tryouts and rookie camp bodies. No contracts are signed. However in the past it was not unusual that they signed one or two for OTA's and mini camps after the rookie camp if they impress.

Can i assume this was because of DiNucci starting vs Eagles ..and being active too many games before team brought Gilbert in as backup to Dalton ..???

"Invited" is a term a team uses when they don't wanna commit to anything that sounds binding . . .

Thanks. I see that the mini camps don't garner the attention of TC.
All these years, I never paid much attention to anything prior to actual TC start, other than to note their occurrence.
The invited QBs are Illinois State's Brady Davis along with J.T. Barrett.
Driskell was having none of it!

Don't sleep on Brady Davis. His completion percentage is 54%. Boom!! I'm no mathematics guy but I believe that's over half his passes get caught.

Right up there with Craig Morton, Johnny Unitas, and Gus Frerotte. Good for about a 150 ranking out of 200 QBs.
