Two Seed or out the playoffs?

Philly has the tie breaker over the Cowboys if they end up with the same overall record.

I referencing Seattle in response to another poster. Philly won't have any tie breakers if they fall into chasing a WC.

Yep, they're in the same boat as the Cowboys, either win the division or watch the playoffs from the couch.

In the event we lose we have a slim chance. If they lose they're hoping for Indy n Washington to beat us.

The Bears will not beat Detroit without Brandon Marshall.

Yeah, I don't give them much of a chance, but I'd give the Vikings even less of a chance to win at Detroit, where the Lions have been great.

They would actually only need for one of them to beat the Cowboys as long as they didn't lose to WAS or NY.

After looking at it again I'm more convinced now that Dallas will either be the two seed or not make the playoffs

We still control our destiny for the East and a WC.

Not sure why you keep saying we control it for a WC. We don't because that would assume we could lose a game and still get one. We only control our destiny for the division. Sure, we control it in a sense of winning out but that guarantees the division and a WC is not possible :)

This is going to be a dumb question but if we get a wild card for the play offs does that mean Philly still wins the division, I cant seem to figure this out aside from the WC getting us to the playoffs this year

Yes if we get a Wildcard then Philly has won the division.

Highly unlikely 2 teams from the NFC East will make the playoffs because we both lose almost any tiebreaks..................If Seattle takes the division, which looks like they will, then either Dallas or Philly is odd man out since we both lost to Zona.

Even if Arizona holds on to win the West, Philly just lost to Seattle and even though we beat Seattle, the problem is Detroit has cake walks in the Vikes and Bears before ending the season with Green Bay. If they get to 11 wins along with Seattle, then we are the odd man out due to having the worst conference record.

Only one team from the NFC East is going to make the playoffs barring a total collapse by either Arizona or Seattle.

Seattle is peaking at the right time, don't see them losing 2 games from here on out. Of course, I swear I heard some crazy stat about defending Super Bowl champs haven't made the playoffs teh following year 5 years straight? If this is true, I guess anything can happen. I'm sure someone here can confirm this ridiculous stat.......

I am not going to worry about the 1,000 scenarios for the playoffs until this time next week...if they lose in philly, dallas will need A LOT of help to get into the playoffs as the WC....although, I could see a total collapse by AZ and they lose out....

I don't see the Cards losing to the Niners with the way the Niners played today it feels like they've quit on the season already.

It's not out of the realm of possibility that Green Bay could lose @ Buffalo and against Detroit and leave them at 11-5.

How would Detroit winning the NFC North and GB being at 11-5 change any of these tie-breaking scenerios for Dallas?
