Man, loved those two sequence of Romo to Witten TD and that was easy and pretty and right after the kickoff, on first Vikings first offensive play, Selvei's Sack strip and Hayden's recovery for a TD took all of 10 seconds, great moments.

When was last time Cowboys had two TDs in 10 seconds or pretty close to it? I can't remember.

We need more of that offense and defense great plays at close proximity to get the great momentum going and to demoralize opponents.

Sounds like Super Bowl XXVII, where the Cowboys had touchdowns by Novacek and Jimmie Jones just a short time apart. Then, Aikman threw 2 touchdown passes to Irvin, again only a short time apart.

The offense needs to stop crapping the bed when they get a turnover. Too many times this year they have gotten turnovers, only to do nothing with them. When you get those opportunities, you need to score.

Was at the game with the wife and we got stuck in a line for nachos during half time and of course that was when those two TD's happened.

We nearly didn't go back to our seats out of superstition considering the entire first half was miserable.

Until we fix the defense and understand what momentum means when managing a game offensively, we could do that every week and it would not matter.

That sequence would make most people think the game is over and often it would be. But not with this team which just seems to struggle with momentum and how to capitalize off it.

yea, and it's not like romo takes it down the field to put us ahead with a minute or two left and the D never lets us down.

According to this, at least, we're 4th in the league in terms of net points from takeaways. And third in the league in terms of net points differential. Perhaps you meant so-good-we-accidentally-crapped-the-bed?

It and the last 2 minutes were the best part of the game.

I pointed this out last week but we are near the top in points off of turnovers but go ahead and keep whining.

It was for nachos so that is an acceptable excuse.

In points per turnover Dallas is 17th. Worse, when you adjust for the times the defense scored TDs, the points by the offense per turnover is 22nd.

And that still shows that we're 4th in points.

lol I did that at the Commanders game last year and got weak and went back to my seat in the midway in 4Q, boy was that a mistake

Because of the number of turnovers, and the defense being able to score on them, not because the offense has been effective at turning them into points. The offense is towards the bottom of the league at taking a turnover and turning it into points. I would be curious to see the average starting field position for teams following a turnover.

Some one posted those stats few days and the Cowboys were in the middle, not toward the bottom, IIRC.

Yup...great memories....Haley hit and Jimmy Jones recovery....beginning of a rout....greatest feeling I had as a Cowboy fan no worries about a nail biter just got to enjoy the coronation.
