Two things I hate about living in San Antonio

I hate the cold. My ears hate it more.

I would love to move to San Antonio.

Loved it when I was stationed there and maybe it was a mild year or just because it was fall but it was not all that bad, definately better than Louisiana or El Paso in the summer.

But I really would like to move to an area that stays at least warm for most of the year and is arid or does not have a ton of humidity in the summer.

Nor do I was to have any more bad ice storms like we did here a few years ago.

Daddy????

My father doesn't even watch football. :p

Interesting story, though.

My dad has a woodworking business and gets all sorts of wonderful wood from a shop near his wood shop. The owner of the wood supply, who is a friend of my dads, asked him to keep an eye on the place for an hour or so while he went to run an errand.

Who comes in to pick up some wood? Randy White.

He makes custom knives and hand carves his own wood for the handles. My dad said he was as big as a mountain. :)

When was the last time you were here?
This place has grown big time.Once loop 1604 was a desolated wasteland, not anymore.
It's all developed in the north section. All kinds of commercial property.

just so you know, we got 13 inches in February 1985....

Yeah, i was on a dove/quail hunting trip down around the Choke Canyon area when that happened. I was 15 and i remember my Dad and the group we were with watching the forecast before we went down out of houston saying, it doesnt snow in south texas, we'll be fine. We were camp tenting in that crap, never been so cold in my life. Packed our stuff and left the next morning, took us 8 hours to get back to Houston..

shorts all year? damn i would love to be able to do that. winters suck
