Two weeks: Dallas are 4th best defense/30th ranked offense

Dallas also currently leads the league in sacks. If Dallas can somehow eliminate the penalties and somehow earn 10 more points per game, this is going to be a very hard team to beat. A positive sign i saw though is that they are clearly getting better. I think part of Carolina's issue was rust.

2 drives were killed by holding and false starts. I think our offense will get better as we knock the rust off.

Hopefully. I also am very critical of Dak but his number lie in this game. Most of the incompletions were throw aways or intentional to the dirt to kill the play. He was playing smart yesterday and aside from the rico throw at the endzone, he was accurate with his passes.

I agree with you here, so much that I drafted Dallas d in both my fantasy leagues..... and I have never done that. This defense is legit, and it was legit all pre season also..... with starters in.

The game at Carolina definitely had something to do with the rust. Thats what happens when you dont play your players in the PS.

They are going to get much better next Sunday. Once the offense finds a rythm and hopefully Freddy comes back, this team is going to be much better than many think.

Next week will be a true test. Their QB is very mobile (anti-Eli). That said, their defense isn't nearly what it was a few years ago.

At times I thought the tackling was not good. Seems they had a really hard time getting Barkley down. I don't think I saw the first tackler get him one time. It was always the second or third guy that had to make the stop. I think Barkley is going to be really good. Another Zeke. He was the only bright spot on offense for the gnats. jmho

And another couple were killed by missed assignments/jail breaks in pass protection. Don't know if we miss Frederick in those cases or Dak should have changed the play/protection.

They are. It took getting a defensive backs coach to come here and state the obvious, that we don’t need our corners 15 yards off the LOS.

Our defense is swarming......cmon, Berkeley rushed for 26 yards? And caught like 30 passes for80 yards? I’m not complaining about a defense that won that game.

I wonder how many broken tackles he had. If that dude had a line and a QB, he could rack up some yards. NY still dumb for drafting him so high though.

The Kris Richard effect is undeniable. He's stabilized the back end of the defense and that has allowed Marinelli to focus on what he does best, coaching the defensive line. And the results speak for themselves.

Actually , our 1st round pick , Vander Esch , did tackle him one-on-one ; and I believe he's the only one all night................

Yep, even though he had like 15 receptions he only averaged about 4-5 yards each. I'll take that all day every day.

Well someone would have drafted him that high if not the Giants, but yeah Barkley probably isn't the guy they need right now. I'd have taken Darnold.
