Law would add veteran experience, but it's an Aaron Glenn situation all over again. He'd be a liability in coverage at some point during the season because of his age and he'd also impede the development of Watkins and Brown without offering a dramatic upgrade on the field. Experience would be nice, but reliability is first and foremost.
He's also too old to play special teams, where you need your backup DB's to contribute.
Now if Hamlin bolts, the Cowboys will be left scrambling for a true replacement and not a nickel/dime depth guy like Law. IMO it would be risky to go with a combination of Roy + Watkins, with Law, Davis, and Brown as backups since none of them are reliable in coverage.
