Two moves could be made in the coming days involving significant players in the NFL. One involved Buffalo Bills receiver Eric Moulds, who has been given permission to seek a trade for awhile. The team has shown signs since the season ended that they would not retain the receiver.

At the moment, it appears that the Houston Texans are very close to trading a fourth or fifth-round draft pick for Moulds. If the deal occurs, the Texans would pay Moulds $14 million over four years. The Bills want a fourth-rounder, but it is believed the Texans are trying to sneak by with a fifth-rounder.

Meanwhile, one of the best free-agent cornerbacks on the market, Ty Law, has expressed an interest in playing for the Tennessee Titans this season. Law had ten interceptions in his only season with the New York Jets after many teams questioned whether or not he was healthy. Law proved doubters wrong and has shown that he is still one of the league's best.

The Titans could use a veteran in their secondary, as they currently have a ton of young players

I hope this is just a 'aprils fools' joke, because Law would be a fool to not want to join the Big D machine!

Stop politicin and playing around Jerry! Sign Law now and make our secondary a true force to be reckoned with!

You forget....Law already has his rings. He is all about the cash now which is still confusing to see why he would want to go to the Titans who I thought were hurting for cash.

I don't see Jerry putting anymore big money into the CB or S positions especially when he will be looking to resign players at season's end. Besides, our CB position is strong, it's the FS position where we are lacking. And Law knows he can't get the big money at the S spot.

Nice wishful thinking though....

I don't know where you put him if he won't play safety and neither will Henry

And where is he going to play? Is Newman going to sit? Henry? Don't tell me FS -- just because you are a good CB, doesn't mean you can play FS.

That's such a simple math equation. I have no idea why some people can't figure it out.

Titans | Law would like to play in Tennessee
Sat, 18 Mar 2006 07:39:47 -0800

Jim Wyatt, of the Tennessean, reports agent Carl Poston said free agent CB Ty Law (Jets) said the Tennessee Titans are one of the teams his client would be interested in playing for next season. "Tennessee is a quality organization and they could use a quality corner. He would solidify what they've done in free agency,'' Poston said. "Obviously the situation there is something we would look at if they need some help at the corner spot, and he could also play free safety.''

Law can play free safety and would if he were paid like a CB.
But we aren't gonna pay him like a CB.
He's a Poston client and wants a big payday.

We also have been targeting youth on defense where possible.

If we go for an older vet I'll lay odds its Marcus Coleman who is another converted CB but one whose cheaper and has played for BP before.

he makes another quick move to the left and OH MY GOD!!! THE QUARTERBACK IS TOAST!!!! reality blindsides the qb!!!

he's not getting up...this could be ugly....

Law wants 10 million guaranteed, you don't pay that for a FS or 3rd CB.

I question whether Law would be all that great a FS. Considering the money we would have to pay to get him to play FS.

Problem is is that he wants to play for Dallas but JJ will not give him that type of money he wants because we have 3 solid CBs, period!!!!!!!!!!!

He can take a4 year 18 mil contrAct then he might end up in Dallas

:jerk: :jerk: :jerk:

His career is about wrapped up anyway... He's all about money now... The Cowboys will be fine without him... No thanks!

The last I heard, Law wants 10 million per year. The Titans have released several players in the last few years to get out of cap hell. I highly doubt that they're chomping at the bit to pay an aging CB 10 mil a year to return to hell.

If Ty Law was signed, he'd easily replace Aaron Glenn. Terence Newman is our slot CB. The Cowboys could go with with whomever matches up better if the opponent goes with a 2 WR set.

The addittion of Law to our team would only strengthen the secondary. He'd be a instance upgrade over our 3rd best CB and would excell is certain areas over Newman and Henry.

But the facts are Big elite CB have made the transition to safety and have played their very effectively. It goes both ways.

Ty Law when healthy like last year would only boslter out secondary.

The last thing we need to do is put more money into our secondary. If Law wants to go play for the Titans I am all for it, because it will put an end to the pipe dreams that some people on the zone have that he would come play FS for the boys....
