Tyler Bookers future (for O-line experts)

Dallas will have the best guard play in the NFL 2 all pros on the same O line mark it down, Smith Beebe and Booker the Maul Brothers.
And they still have two bad tackles. Guyton was not good. Neither was Steele. At 12 I take a tackle. If he can't play Tackle move him inside. Always try to get a tackle.

he is not as bad an athlete as you want to believe; not even close
The comparable in that regard, hopefully, is Frederick.

Redbeard got dinged for athleticism in the draft but was perfectly athletic as an interior olineman. Same kind of strength and anchor.

G is just not a premier position. You can make due at G with a lesser player. Spending 12 on G is just bad value.

I didn't like the pick in the 1st round. 3rd round yes,but not 1st. I do like Booker's interviews before, but nervous too much glitz and glamour I see in videos of him walking around Cowboys Metroplex ,his jersey being made, fans cheering for him getting a big head thinking he can relax. We need a Randy White type to punch him in his face for a reality check . That it's time to earn your respect. Be the mean gritty hungry mauler in those highlights still.

How does Tyler not fall into the Kenyon Green/Zion Johnson territory? Both of their drafted teams fanbases call them busts. How do they compare to Booker?

I see people putting booker as a plus starter already. But what makes him different than those 2?
First of all I don't know where you get your information from but nobody can be called a bust until they actually play football so in our case and I don't know who those two players are that you're talking about but in this case with the Dallas Cowboys Tyler Booker hasn't played a single snap therefore he can't be labeled a bust I don't understand are you talking about using a terminology like a reach are you saying that they overreached and picked him and he shouldn't have been picked at 12 in the first round?

Even in that scenario this stuff drives me crazy you literally can't judge the damn draft until they play football real football this is why players like Brock Purdy can be picked last in the draft and still end up starting for the San Francisco 49ers this is how Tom Brady can be overlooked and picked into sixth round and then be the goat one of the greatest quarterback runs we've ever seen in history because that's why draft experts are not draft experts they miss things all the time and I don't care where he was supposed to be picked once he gets on the field it'll be his play that we get to judge and that usually can take a couple years that's why Guyton is not a bust either he's struggling but that doesn't mean he's not going to turn his career around people who label people bust before they play because maybe because of where they were drafted and allegedly the experts say they weren't supposed to be drafted there are crazy..

That is why I'm betting that some guys slip that is how we ended up with Duron Bland in the 5th round and he's a starting corner in the league nobody had em ranked in the top and sometimes people looking at these mocked drafts the GM's and the scouts get caught up in the hype or the lack of hype and guys just get lost in the mix there's some undrafted free agents like Kurt Warner and Tony Romo I mean Kurt Warner's in the Hall of Fame is he not I mean there's a lot of Hall of Famers that came out of the undrafted ranks.

curious of why you're now trying to tell our fan base we should label this guy a bust before we see him play like I don't get it and again I don't even know who those two dudes are up there because I don't listen to the noise...

This is why Sanders and Quinn viewers should not be losing sleep right now because all it takes is an opportunity these guys it does not matter where they were drafted or if they came in here undrafted they will have a chance to prove those who think they didn't deserve to be drafted where they were drafted or they fell because of bad scouting or bad reports or in this case fake phone calls and spoofing people or sometimes you get a guy like Isaiah Bond how do we know that this guy wasn't done wrong by somebody who had a grudge and an ax to grinding so they report this on purpose they knew it would hurt him and his draft stock it might hurt his career but we don't know if it's true or not but this is what happens around draft time this is what happens when people listen to experts and I'm not doing it i'll watch these guys play..

and by the way they told the Cowboys Tyler Smith was a reach and he was a project and it was a terrible pick that was what was said... Yup draft day you remember Jerry having to show his piece of paper that Tyler Smith was their best offensive lineman on the board in that draft and that's why they took him and people said that he's crazy and that he's lying so he's trying to defend his pick because some tool that thinks he's an expert said it was a bad pick and guess what it wasn't a bad pick we now have proof..

I think there was a bit more projection with Green and Johnson. Johnson was a riser in 2022 that was a bit more raw than people realized. He didnt have great technique coming out and rely on being overpowering.

With Green, I think its a case of an OT to OG convert just not working out.

With Booker, I think alot of what you see on film translates to the pros. I don't really see a prime Zack Martin caliber player. More like a Larry Worford
Well, you're probably more in tune because you probably did the research than I did, but this Booker reminds me of Jason Peters and that's not a bad thing jason Peters had a great career. We really want to keep this Cowboys related I bet if you go look at the early days of the 90s Cowboys and how that line started and you find a big fatty that nobody thought was going to end up great and was one of the best guards we've ever had I don't know if he's on the level of Zach Martin but Booker could probably be easier to say his upside is a peak Big Nate Newton.. So yeah, I'm calling it but just go with his ceiling is going to be Nate Newton and we're all guessing but that would be where I'd put it.. Jason Peters reminds me of Nate Newton, so that where I got the connection from.

we don't need a first team all pro and a Hall of Famer at this pic we just need a guy who's come in do his job do it really well ,that's it that's all we need to ask is if you pick a guy in the first round that you think's going to help your team, he just needs to live up to those expectations, nothing else, not comparisons to Zach Martin...

That's because you're replacing a player doesn't mean you have to be better than that player or as good that's not how it works that's stupid that's what fans do and that's what content creators and social media writers they just do this because they're just trying to write stories they're all trying to be right and most of them are wrong but hey every once in a while And that's all they are right and that's why they'll keep doing it.

I think Cooper Bb is going to be the best center we've had since Frederick but that doesn't mean he has to be Frederick but I see that's where he's going he's going to be great for years to come and that's all we need from him.. We wanted to make sure we upgraded from Tyler Biadszh and I believe we did we got a guy in a rookie contract with more upside in my opinion he played his rookie year as good as Tyler did his last year here that's what you're looking for it doesn't matter where you're drafted as long as you find a place on the team and do your job well...

In the draft zone RS posted info from David Moore that the Cowboys had Booker 7 or 8 on their board. McMillan was higher. Jalon Walker was in the discussion but wasn't as high.

The return from starting booker over hoffman just doesn't seem great to me. Compare that to possibly drafting the second best wr on your board to pair with CD, or drafting a DT to help fix the run game defense which has been one of the biggest reasons they have lost post season games in recent years. Lets not pretend Booker was 1st round talent taken in the 3rd round, there were other players with similar grades available at better positions to help the team win.
