ruled a TD, then upon review the play was reversed to an incompletion.. at least they're being consistent
I thought once the ball broke the plane, its a TD regardless of what else happens.
That should be a TD, what a horrible call.

once you have established yourself as a runner does that rule go into effect.. since this was a pass and Eifert did not make a "football move", and thus establish himself as a runner he must complete the process of the catch all the way to the ground
this is exactly what happened to Dez last season vs. the ***** packers
He wasn't going to the ground to make the catch, he was tackled to the ground.
The catch was already made and the TD was scored. He only stuck the ball out and put it in danger to cross the goal line.
i'm not saying I agree with the call, personally I think Eifert's and Dez's plays were catches
just telling you how THEY ruled it.. i am, however, glad they are being consistent with that particular rule
No one 'knows' the rule, that is the problem. He wouldn't risk possession if it wasn't the goal line. Stretching for the goal line is a football move.

If that was the yellow line at midfield and he was stretching for a first down that would be a fumble.
CaN THIS LEAGUE GET ANYTHING RIGHT?I thought once the ball broke the plane, its a TD regardless of what else happens.

I'm thinking after the Dez controversy, no. If you think about the fact that 7 games last Sunday had 20, or more, flags thrown, it's pretty obvious the refs are over zealous. Now, they second-guess obvious TD's. Eifert and Escobar are indisputable touchdowns.
