I’d rather give TB a call see if they would part with Cameron Brate.
They just gave him a 6 year 40mil contract, with 18m guaranteed.
Guess they'll be running a lot of 2TE packages.

I would have taken a flier on him in FA. He got a one year, prove it deal at $5.5MM.
If healthy, he'd have been the best TE on our roster. The "if healthy" part though is the real question.
I think the Cowboys are perfectly content with what they have at TE at this point.
im content. no one is asking any of these TEs to carry a big load.
Cincy offered a 1st round pick for Bennett years ago and Dallas said no. Cincy might not trade their TE to Dallas for a low pick
I hope not, he would be a progress stopper to our unknowns. Until he gets injured anyways![]()
The problem is that we might need a TE to carry a big load given what they decide to do in catering an offense around Dak.
If this season goes sideways I think a big reason that could happen is because this front office miscalculated just how good they were at WR and TE.
when was the last time we needed a TE to carry a big load and where did it get us? You can go 16-0 in the regular season, that still wins you absolutely nothing.
Not really, Rico will is preparing to dominate

You are crazy, Tyler would be great here. As a fantasy football guy I know my TE's and he is better than anything the cowboys have now.
He needed a QB who was TE friendly and dalton became less of that as the season went. Even when eifert came back from injury dalton rarely looked his way.
He and dak would work wonders.
Sounds good on paper, but dude is always hurt. If he could stay healthy, then absolutely.
The only thing I've seen is a website asking if Dallas should consider trading for him.
That doesn't mean that Cinn/Dallas are considering anything. It simply is a hypothetical brought forth by a fan.
When was the last time we spent the offseason talking about tooling an offense around our QB? All offseason we have heard they are making the offense more Dak friendly. If TE is a big part of that new offense and the ones we have can't carry a fairly large load, we have problems.
You are uber defensive of our TEs for some reason. And I am not even saying they stink. I am saying they really are a complete unknown at this point and if they are going to be asked to carry a healthy load and prove they can't........... it doesn't take a brain surgeon to realize that's a problem.
Yeah, we did them a favor saying no, so they owe us. Just saying.Cincy offered a 1st round pick for Bennett years ago and Dallas said no. Cincy might not trade their TE to Dallas for a low pick
The two teams that just played in the Super Bowl, their tight ends led their team in recieving yards in the regular season.what is the fascination with TEs all of a sudden? We had a HOF TE and that did nothing for us? What is going to be the difference from a HOF Te and one who catches the ball? seriously. I want an answer to this. We have the proof a hof TE will not get you to the SB. Do you guys want one just to spend the money? are you afraid of moving on that you need a high end TE that hasnt really done anything for a team either? Thats never been a position where you heard "hey Dan, you just won the SB, how TEs did you have to go through to get the right combintation" Trust me. TE isnt that important.

I never said he wasn't better. This guy makes Sean Lee look like ironman........
