Because you continually misstate what I am saying. You started by suggesting I am ignoring other positions.
Here's my point. It's actually pretty clear.
For 2018, if this team is to go back to the playoffs, it will because they had a very good and efficient offense. This team is built around it's offense being able to run the ball, churn clock, make plays in the passing game off of play action and just hope to get competent defensive play.
We have an elite OL. We have an elite TB. I have no worries that (if healthy) running the ball will not be a problem in 2018. But unfortunately, this isn't college, where you can run the ball 50+ times a game and churn teams up. For this team to truly be good, they are going to have to be efficient at moving the ball through the air. In other words, since we likely will have a pretty good run offense, if this team scuffles, it will be because they simply weren't good enough at moving the ball through the air.
And if that happens, I suspect it will be because not enough of the unknowns at WR and TE panned out like they hoped and that in fact, they took too many risks at TE and WR and overestimated the skill sets of these guys.
You apparently think that's an outlandish opinion.
