For the right price? Absolutely.

Yes he's had some health issues but apparently his recent back surgery has fixed his most recent big health issue.

If he's healthy, he's the best TE on your roster right now and a guy who can help Prescott immensely.

So if the price is right, absolutely you should bring him in. Between him and Gathers, your chances of finding a real field stretcher from the TE spot is pretty decent.

Dude caught 13 TDs in one season. Crazy not to kick the tires.

And as seeing how Witten will still be stealing snaps, he'd be part time anyways. Him and Dez would be lethal in the red zone.

I'd say 127 career receptions is a good indicator that he is already a part time player anyways.

Because of injuries. If healthy, he's a starting TE.

Granted, the health part is the issue, but it would be foolish to not kick the tires on him if people are really serious about trying to get more weapons for Prescott in this offense.

Hasn't he had some concussion issues also?

I don't believe so. The biggest issue facing him recently was back problems. But the story is he had a 2nd back surgery and it appears to have, at least thus far, alleviated the issues he was having with his back.

As I said above, if people are serious about getting Dak more weapons in this offense, it would make sense to at least look at Eifert. If you don't like what you see medically, don't sign him. If he's going to get a decent deal from someone else, don't sign him. But if you could get him for cheap.............. it would make sense.

Anyone know what kind of blocker he is? Is he strictly a pass catcher?

There should be no rush to get him. He may not be healthy by the time free agency starts in March.

He had his surgery back in week 3.

His back surgery. He had a cyst removed from his knee later on during the season.

This article was from December.

Bengals injury news: Tyler Eifert not running yet as he recovers from multiple surgeries

As the Cincinnati Bengals move closer toward the offseason, the status of Tyler Eifert remains murky at best.

Eifert, who is already on injured reserve, is recovering from multiple surgeries he’s undergone this season. He originally went on injured reserve due to back surgery, but he later had a cyst removed from his knee in November.

Those two operations have made Eifert’s rehabilitation a long process that’s bleeding into the offseason, and possibly his free agency in March.

On Monday, Eifert posted an update on his recovery, where he revealed that he’s not even running yet, though he is doing work on the rehab bike:

During the 2014, 2016 and 2017 seasons he played a combined total of 11 games out of a possible 48.
