Same here BDC, good morning!!Really excited to see
Exactly. Like it or not, like any player, you gotta let the new guy get his lumps, let them learn from experiencing the good and bad. Isn't life in general, like that? Especially if you have children you know you need to let them do this, just like we did growing up. This is no different. Only way to realize ones true self is to turn them loose and see what happens. The one caveat with Guyton is he was poorly handled by the previous line coach and HC. I have little doubt. They were dead men walking and on way out the door. Lame ducks and probably could care less about investing extra teaching to players coming in. I luv this kids attitude and work ethic. I've heard things like he's lazy , this and that, from Broaddus and others where he went to college. I have trouble believing that garbage after listening to this interview, and listening to Duke Manyweather. In fact, Guyton himself hit the ground running last year with training. Kids got a chance to be good for a long time if we give him a fair shot. I expect good things from him.Expectations were way too high for him last season. The Cowboys threw him to the wolves, he just needs time to develop.
But in the words of good ole Geno Smith........he ain't writing back (LOL)People are ready to write him off already, I think he has the potential to rebound this season
Not sure who would or why.People are ready to write him off already, I think he has the potential to rebound this season
loooooooooooooooooooooooolBut in the words of good ole Geno Smith........he ain't writing back (LOL)
he wasn't raw he was still in the packaging!!Not sure who would or why.
100% of scouts said he was raw and needed 1-2 years to develop
He does have the right mindset. But he is playing on the left side.Listened to the interview. He's got the right mental mindset. Seems like a good kid. He needs 3-4 years to get experience. Id start him at RT. See if we can trade Steele and get our 4th round Pic back.
As Voch Lombardi says, this offseason he will get the NFL "peanut butter" to help lean him out, add muscle etc.I expect to see this young man take some strides this year he's six feet seven inches tall and hopefully puts on some of his man weight and strength this year as he is only 23 years old people don't understand that these young offensive linemen need time for their full strength and weight to come on it cannot be forced each individual has a different body makeup and it takes a little time to develop their potential
I think solari did nothing to improve any of the lineman. They have invested in oline expertise, hopefully they get him on track. I saw him at the hotel in Maryland before the washington game. He looked like a small forward. He can put a lot of muscle on that frame. He's very athletic, has a ton of potential.Really excited to see Guytons jump this year. A full off season will do wonders for him. He sounds very excited about the new staff (sees changes already!) and clearly expects big things this year. A lot of good stuff and I loved the entire interview!
It sounds like another Garrett platitude.Every time I hear someone say that stupid "pressure is a privilege" nonsense I harken back to when our beloved QB said that.....and we all know how he handles pressure.....
