FEATURED Tyler Smith Is Out 4-6 Weeks

I bet you spend a lot of time here I spend time all over the NFL just keeping up with my favorite team and I guess all the information I provided you is just false you think that they're not covering up what's been going on for two years now He said major problems with tendonitis he's had surgery and somehow you're overlooking that he said knee problems he hasn't looked the same for a while...umm ok.. I'm making it up except for when I'm not.

We are now entering the Tyron Smith Type management except his name is Tyler Smith it's been happening for a while it's getting worse but hey if you want to claim it's a thumb claim it's a thumb..

Reports regarding Dallas Cowboys All-Pro offensive lineman Tyler Smith and knee tendinitis center almost entirely on his right knee, which flared up during 2025 training camp, lingered into the regular season, and ultimately required off-season arthroscopic surgery in February 2026. [1, 2]
The full timeline and details reported on his knee issues and related leg health outline the following progression:

1. Training Camp Onset (July–August 2025)
The issue first became public during training camp in Oxnard, California. On July 31, 2025, Smith pulled himself out of team drills and headed to the locker room. [1, 2]
    • Team owner Jerry Jones characterized the exit as a precaution due to knee tendinitis.
    • Smith told reporters he felt "fine", and head coach Brian Schottenheimer stated the subsequent missed practice time was primarily for maintenance to keep the knee from swelling under high camp workloads. [1, 2, 3]

2. In-Season Management (2025 NFL Regular Season)
Smith managed chronic soreness in the joint for the remainder of the year. While he appeared on Dallas's injury report across multiple weeks, the team opted to manage the inflammation with planned rest days and reduced practice reps rather than placing him on injured reserve: [1, 2, 3]
    • Smith was active but held out of a Week 5 matchup against the New York Jets specifically due to the knee.
    • Despite the tendinitis, he started 16 regular-season games in 2025 and earned his third career Pro Bowl nod. [1, 2, 3]

3. Arthroscopic Right Knee Cleanup (February 2026)
Following the 2025 season and after participating in the Pro Bowl, Smith underwent a minor arthroscopic procedure on his right knee to clean up the joint tissue and relieve the persistent inflammation: [1, 2]
    • As reported by Todd Archer on ESPN via Yahoo Sports, “Cowboys left guard Tyler Smith underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee after the Pro Bowl.”
    • He completed his rehab in time to participate in the offseason program. [1]

Context on the Left Leg vs. Right Leg
If you have heard reports linking Tyler Smith's left leg to lower-body medical stories, they generally refer to two distinct non-tendinitis issues:
    • Blount’s Disease (Adolescence / Left Leg): When Smith was 16, Cook Children’s orthopedic surgeons performed a corrective osteotomy on his left shinbone to straighten severe curvature caused by Blount's disease. [1]
    • Confusion with Tyron Smith (Left Knee Hamstring Avulsion): In late August 2022, veteran left tackle Tyron Smith suffered a severe avulsion tear of his left hamstring tendon behind the knee, an injury that forced the rookie Tyler Smith to move from guard to starting left tackle.

I wouldn't be surprised honestly
We not go off the deep end on both ends The defense will be improved The offense may not need to be as good They may have some flaws but they will still be one of the best groups in the NFL the offense is gonna fall off slightly because they won't need to be at least as they have been recently you do realize how both things can be true ******** defense was actually just rebuilt it it is the biggest issue we're going to overcome this year If you don't have that as a major concern like how is that even gonna react how is this special team gonna improve for me I don't care if the offense has a small very small drop off because you know what about time somebody else on this team did something besides the offense...

But I don't believe that for a minute that you always agree with someone saying something that is so ridiculous and outrageous I agree slight fall off No way, They earning the moniker horrible you tell me this offense even if the offensive line isn't great are you telling me that these players are going to be horrible if healthy they're gonna be horrible are you saying if they're healthy never be horrible tell me how horrible they're gonna be please please cook tell us how horrible it gonna be I want you to predict stats?

We lose our all pro guard and the Giants likely get their elite receiver back.

This never happens! /s

He had cleanup surgery. Take off the tin foil hat.

Maybe you ought to read before that Maybe you've never had surgery like this before but I don't care how much arthritis they try to clean up around your tendonitis it it just keeps coming back You've been sold a Billy Goods and that's OK I really really don't think you've been hearing what was really going on with his knee the last two years It really bothered him last year he had surgery but it doesn't mean he's over that surgery does it tendonitis just doesn't get resolved you have to manage it But apparently you've never been a athlete you never played organized sports because I have it at 56 years old I still participate in what we call extreme sports I surf I wakeboard I snowboard.. Some days I feel great other days I can barely move my damn arm above my head for no damn reason other than I have tendonitis that comes and goes and you can buy what they're selling you but tell me where he got the thumb injury that suddenly needed surgery one week before the season started when he didn't participate in anything..lol

Hey I'm speaking from experience I did play high school football and no my name wasn't Al Bundy But before that I played soccer in 7th grade and 8th grade I swam in 4th grade I wrestled in 4th grade and I'm still participating again in the extreme sports and I can promise you I know what tendonitis and arthritis feels like some days you feel great and other days you can barely have strength to pick up a damn cup of coffee...

Good thing for me is I don't have a bunch of coats of staff in the front office a lie for me and say I had thumb surgery to cover up the fact that this is gonna go on for the rest of his career just like Tyron Smith needed so many days off and games off in order to manage the rest of his career It was the same damn things and already we're seeing it from Tyler and if you don't believe me that's OK go ahead call me a liar and let me know when he's back from his alleged thumb injury And then about 10 weeks from now let me know how that thumb injury comes back again and they'll call it something else..

He had cleanup surgery. Take off the tin foil hat.
Are you trying to tell me how I clean up surgery for something he had struggled with all year last year and in preseason and in training camp and again early in training camp this season in 2026 he took time off and you're you're buying the fact that it was a thumb injury oh wait a minute he had a clean up injury and now our mysterious thumb injury Or is it the same debilitating tendonitis that he's going to be dealing with the rest of his career and having to have veteran days off and miss some games just like Tyron Smith did the rest of his career until he retired Yep that's what I'm leaning on but you don't have to believe me..
Folks I have a tin but Rockport doesn't believe that I've been following this closely and he didn't get a mysterious thumb injury all of a sudden it's the same knee that's been bothering him for two damn years OK let's move on from this he's going to be out 4 to 6 weeks for an alleged mysterious thumb injury or tendonitis we're missing him anyway but I said this two weeks ago he is not the same guy he was in 2024 and before that...

He was struggling last year all season long and if you didn't see it I can't help you It was there the whole time and you think he just need to clean up to feel better..lol

So Smith’s career is over?

So Smith’s career is over?
No just like the last 3 or 4 years that Tyron Smith had to be on a snap count they had to give him lots of other days off He will have to be managed properly in order to keep him on the field during the regular season.

Do you not understand that Tyron Smith the last maybe Four Seasons he had to be so many as he didn't practice he was kept out of a lot of activities in order to get him on the field and then the next game he wouldn't play..

That's what I'm saying has nothing to do with a thumb injury had more to do with his knee and we don't know how many games he gonna miss he could just miss the first four weeks and then he can play 6 or seven weeks and then he might miss the rest of the season he has now arrived as that guy and it's really bad for the Cowboys and I'm not happy about it He has a debilitating health issue not an injury Arthritis and tendonitis are things that kept out Christian Mccaffrey almost all of one of his seasons recently and then he played most in a year last year but he's going to have problems managing the tendonitis he has in his Achilles.. You do know what that is right tendonitis is not an injury it's a health issue It's from overuse of specific tendons and what not it's like tennis elbow But that's not a real thing that's a tendon in your elbow it's like tendonitis and sometimes you might not see it for an entire season and then it can affect you for half a season you don't get to play much..

Not a doctor I do not know everything I am telling you they're lying about the damn thumb because I want to admit that they've been trying to manage this since he's had his alleged scope but it's been tendonitis the whole time and it's gonna continue to be severe tendonitis and he may play most of the games or some of the games and know his career's not over he's just being managed..

Guyton is in his original position. He played blindside tackle in college as well. Doesn’t matter that it was RT; he had a left-handed QB. The protections, etc are the same regardless of what actual literal side he lines up on.

It’s not left vs right: it’s blindside vs frontside.

Guyton has been a blindside tackle his entire college and NFL career.
So you’re saying there’s four different OT positions:

Left blindside
Left non blindside
Right blindside
Right non blindside

That’s the only way it makes any sense.

Just because Bass has good numbers doesn't mean Hoffman didn't have better and Hoffman was picked up by another team could possibly start I think they're stupid for not keeping both you get that OK buddy Mister buddy buddy somehow you thought it was going to stay here tonight and just say OK you're right I'm wrong i'm going to walk back into the shadows Nope I'm right hoffman was a great player last year at both center and guard not just guard he was our best backup center we had..
So you knew that Hennessy was gonna get hurt? A real center?

Or did he have tendinitis in his knee and they’re covering it up with a neck injury?
:omg::laugh::lmao::lmao2:

Sorry blue, just messing with you.

Yeah I'm confused too he has a sudden mysterious thumb injury is contradicting what I've been saying for weeks it's even last year when they were talking about him moving the left tackle he said he didn't want to move to to left tackle but when he missed practice he was on a snap count It was all because of one thing that I remember and it will not be put past me it was severe tendonitis in one of his knees he cannot move in space the way he used to he was getting more penalties he was having a problem last year and are we sweeping that under the rug But do you want to go back and do some research Go just go to Google figure out if Tyler Smith was having a problem and figure out if it was tendonitis in his knee and now they're trying to cover it up and say he has a sudden and very mysterious thumb injury even though he's not practice and he's been in no preseason games he hurt his thumb what walking his dog:?

No, it’s blindside vs frontside - two positions.

How those are ordered - i.e. whether left or right - has far fewer ramifications than whether you’re covering the QB’s blindside or frontside.

Someone else made a point about footwork being reversed.

That’s no different than an American driving a British car, or me as someone from the UK driving an American car. The sides are different, but everything is in the same position relative to each other.

Whereas switching from the frontside to the blindside is like saying that because you can drive a car, you can drive a bus. Fundamentally, yes, you probably can, but it’ll take a lot more getting used to - because it’s not like it’s all the same stuff in the same relative positions, turned 180 degrees around: it’s a different kind of driving.

They aren’t going to ask bus driver Guyton to hop in a UK registered Mini Cooper and suddenly get used to it just because he used to drive a bus left-hand drive.
