FEATURED Tyler Smith Is Out 4-6 Weeks

I liked Hoffman too, but the Cowboys signed Matt Hennessy in the off-season, and honestly Hennessy was also a C/G and had better stats than Hoffman. Sadly, Hennessy got hurt in OTAs and is out for the season.
:( See but that's the thing That's why you don't let a very healthy very steady and not very expensive Hoffman you you can't let him go'cause of this now they're in that position.. The good thing is they do have more depth inside They have a lot more players that were playing well during preseason inside than outside..

You know what I could very much well be wrong but I doubt it But I'm not claiming to be 100 percent correct i'm just telling you I felt this coming the only reason I keep bringing it up is because I had this very conversation at the beginning of the week last week or sometime last week when we were talking about who would be the swing tackle when the guy was coming at me hard saying that the plan is it was gonna be Tyler Smith and I told him about his tendonitis in his knees flaring up it's not going to go away it's not going to go away from Christian Mccaffrey's Achilles other people have these things and they come and they go..

That is the only reason I believe they may be lying about the thumb but maybe they're not I'll concede it doesn't matter we're losing one of our better players for the 1st 4 games of the year which by the way is not a cupcake schedule either...

But really this was just started by another debate with another semi regular poster in here and I tried to tell him that Tyler Smith was not gonna be the left tackle he is not even the emergency left tackle and that is why they will have a swing tackle And I told him this is why because Tyler Smith was having issues and regardless if I'm right or wrong he's still gone...

Does it matter what kind of injury he has if he's gonna be out 4 to 6 weeks he's out four to six weeks it's easier to fan base if they know hey he suddenly hurt his thumb Since when does the thumb keep you out four to six weeks i've seen dudes play with a club a big cast put on their damn hand Didn't Jason Pierre Paul play with like three fingers missing right we we should believe that but you're right i'm wrong i'm just wrong i'm very very wrong I admit when I'm wrong I'm wrong i've been saying for two weeks they said tendonitis in his left knee and nobody listened to me but that's OK I thought he was on a snap count but instead he's gonna miss a while.
So let’s say they claim he has hand surgery, and he shows up to the game Sunday in a cast.

Are you saying it’s a fake cast like WWE?

I would put this probably closer to 6 weeks.

Bucs game is a Thursday. Doubt he is going to be playing on a short week.

I was shocked and bummed out when I heard this. The best player on the O-line goes down a week before game 1. Not great.
I thought, well he must have just injured it in practice, that's too bad! But then heard that he's been dealing with it all through camp, excuse me? I have to wonder why he/they waited?
If it was a problem, if grip strength is as important to an offensive lineman as we know it is, why try to play through it all training camp? Why wait until a week before the opener to chose to have the surgery? I don't know the details, I wasn't in the room, but from my perspective it just doesn't make sense to me.
Knowing that it will sideline the best player on the line for 4-6wks. Which runs over a stretch of games that are not going to be easy for the back O-lineman to play against. The NYG, Balt, and Houston D-lines are very formidable.

IMHO, the very moment he/they realized that he had an issue, one that will require surgery to fix, he should have had the surgery. He didn't need another training camp to get ready, more than he needed to be ready for the season. But here we are.

Good luck TJ Bass step up and make us proud.

I’ve never seen such crying and whining. “The sky is falling, the sky if falling!” My god what a bunch of wusses we have here. The going gets tough and you fold.

I've been saying since cutdown day this team was screwed. Literally having one interior player to cover 3 positions was dumb.....and knowing you already had 2 interior players hurt....looks even dumber now.

But hell no....We had to keep 6 safeties instead....6 WRs....6 edges. This roster construction is a complete mess this year.

Short on CBs...Actually only have 3 guys that you can trust.
Short @ RB, QB

Not sure who is in charge of the actual 53 anymore....but this is an inexcusably mess
Good point to which I agree. But we both know that if Keegan was kept over Camden Brown, this forum would have gone nuclear.

Read the entire thread, and if you still lack comprehension, get back with me. When half the people on here are throwin shade on the “culture” because Tyler got hurt and is out a few weeks, it makes complete sense.
The only person who is lacking comprehension in this thread is you. Not one person has stated they are "sad", if you have time in your day, find me the post where somebody says they are sad about the injury. When you do, I will fall on my sword...until then......no clue where culture was even mentioned, lol.

Thanks for sharing your athletic resume. Any stats from 4th grade wrestling?
Please stop referring to surfing, wakeboarding and snowboarding as extreme sports, they aren’t and it just sounds absurd.

Clean-ups are just that and they are easy to recover from . I had one done and was back skiing at 4 weeks. They have nothing to do with tendonitis. Yes arthritis can develop in the joint but that doesn’t happen instantly, it takes years.
*He pinned 3 skiers in 3 straight 4th grade wrestling matches.

Not the least bit worried about Bass, who can play. A little worried about cohesiveness with Guyton and Beebe.

Smith is likely only to miss 4 games, so if everybody stays healthy in the meantime, no big deal

And the Giants and Comrades should be relatively easy fodder if this team is what it's expected to be.

Still crapping on the Cowboys I see. Always looking at things negatively. You seem happy Smith got injured. I guess it gives you more to whine about.
