Not a realistic chance … but he’s going to make the all-rookie team if he continues his great play.

Chris Olave was just named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month so I would think he leads the race. I'm not sure they would ever give the award to an offensive lineman. They have been handing out the award since 1967 and an offensive lineman has never won it. It has always been a RB, WR, or QB win the award.

The last time I saw a dominate LT play from a rookie was Jake Long back in 2008. And back then he had to compete with Flacco, Ryan and Forte.

It's a hard award for a Olineman to win. While the QB's haven't been on fire recently as rookies, the skill from WR/RB's at the position create a lot of hype.

Tyler Smith will need some type of Larry Allen domination on a prime time game, and John Madden to come back and hype the hell out of him during the game.

Not a chance - there have already been some good performances by rookies at flash positions for Smith to be considered. Not saying it's right, but just the way the NFL is.

Olave is the likely winner but he is on the Jets and their bad QB play may hinder him. I just haven't heard much about any Rookies so far but the season is young. It's just that Left Tackle is a premier position and Smith will get a lot of exposure playing for the Cowboys. To step into that position as a not High 1st round pick and play well is a big deal.
