What do you mean develop him? He solidified the left side working with TB & Tyler. Most of the big running plays this year came behind those guys not your RG. When Steele went down, getting outside right became very difficult.

66 is going to get a lot of attention during free agency.

Develop as in the first years of his career he had a hard time breaking into the lineup . Thats called develop . He did not join the Cowboys out of the draft and instantly start as Smith Smith and Martin. McGovern not a first round pick has now become a starter , be shame to lose him .

It's was you, me and XWalker who were are our own island with him in the pre-draft process, everyone else thought is was a huge project.
Nope I was right there as well, always loved the potential that all of his scouting reports fawned over. What do I win?!

The Oline is setting up pretty nice for next year, seriously if they restructure Tyron and fix RG (it may be fine as is as Connor can get better) Tyron could be your swing OT.

Ideally you'd love to keep Tyron, have Steele and Tyler Smith as well.

But the cap situation we are in, it might mean either letting Steele walk as a RFA or cutting Tyron. If Tyler and Steele are your starting OTs next year, you can't have a guy sitting the bench with a 7 digit cap hit.

Going to be interesting to see what the Jones boys come up with here. A new OL coach may have some say in the matter too.
I see no chance we let Steele walk as a RFA. We probably tender him at 2nd round. Wouldn't be surprised if we extended his contract this year, especially if we move on from Tyron.

I agree that Tyron as swing T at 7 figures ain't gonna happen. Tyron starts or Tyron is gone.

I could see them doing what they planned on this year - Tyron at LT, Tyler at LG, Steele at RT, but probably makes more sense to move on from Tyron even if he's healthy. We've got a cheaper young LT who can play and will have his development at LT slowed if he's moved to LG for a year.

I don't think Tyron is done, or his contract is bad, but he doesn't fit into the future that well.

The Smiths as the left side of our oline could be damn good though.

I'm torn.
