Anybody have a photo or video of this?
The David Tyree ball hit the ground when it was on his helmet.
I need a pic to show my G-iant friend.

Doesn't matter.. he had possession the whole way, and was in total control... the greatest and biggest catch I personally ever witnessed...

Well with how picky some replays are these days, I'm not sure he had "total" control...the ball was moving around some. But you have to give him that catch...pretty clutch.

Was surprised though that it wasn't reviewed.

I watched it very closely on the replays and it did not hit the ground. It was about an inch above the ground.

Pretty much what I saw as well. The ball never hit the ground.

It never touched from what I saw and even if it did he had complete control.

It is surprising that they didn't spend 2 hours reviewing it however since it was such an unusual and important play in the season. :)

I'll trust your word, Hos.
I didn't think so either but my other friend swore it did and when I saw the one angle replay today, it really looked like it did.

I was hoping to have something to sour my Gi-aint friends' day.
Oh well.

Correct...It's a new rule this year that the ball can hit the ground IF you have control of it Before it hits the ground and maintain control of it when it hit the ground and after it hits the ground. I watched the catch in slo-mo and it was definitely a legal catch.

But to the original poster...yes it DID touch the ground...for what it's worth (sorry no pic of it).

Give it up dude, be the bigger man, and admit that Eli and the Giants beat the team that nobody else could.

If the ball touched the ground, it was only the tip, .. maybe.

And as someone else said, it doesn't matter, he had possession throughout.

Good luck finding a photo of this... the ball did not hit the ground. And even if it would have, it was still a catch (Bert Emmanual rule).

I could make you a photoshop with the ball on the ground, though, if you like. I can also have bigfoot making the tackle. :D

That was a spectacular catch. There are guys that make plays when it matters. David Tyree made a big-time play and I will in no way attempt to discredit what he did. It was a catch.

Why it wasn't at least reviewed in the booth is beyond me.
Under 2 minutes in the Super Bowl?

That'll work.
Please do so.

All plays are the reason they did not stop the game was because it did not hit the ground.

Very clutch. I believe it was Toomer who said that Tyree was "dropping everything thrown to him" at Friday's practice. Heroes often come from the least likely places.

Ummm, why would your "Gi-ant" friend, by arguing or upset over a play that benefited his team!?

I was surprised the booth didn't review the spot on the Giants 3rd down, where Toomer caught it. It looked like a bad spot.
