I never gave up on Lamb. I said the drops were likely the result of not getting the ball enough.
I know they should be professional at all times, aka, Jerry Rice. But it's just natural that if receivers aren't getting the ball or don't have comfort in their quarterback getting them the ball, they "check out," "fall to sleep," "lose concentration," etc.
Start getting the good ones the ball and dropsies drop to a minimum.
If we're going to win in the playoffs, we're going to have to score touchdowns. And that's where Dak, Lamb and the offensive line come into play.

Perfect example of the three year rule in action.
What? Noooooooo...we can't wait 3 years for a wide receiver to develop. If he isn't getting 111 passes and 10 TD's his first year, he's a bust. Cut him, trade him... whatever you do don't give him a second contract.

Yep, some people just don't know football. And I kept telling those guys give it 3.5 years and see where Lamb is at then.

I’m glad we have Lamb. He’s coming into his own. He gets better seemingly every week. I was worried about the drops early in the season, but he’s cleaned those up nicely.

I hope we get another receiving threat next season. If you look at the stats, our WRs rank at the bottom in separation. A guy with some speed or a crisp route runner would open things up for Lamb even more.
He’s def getting better….I still would take Justin Jefferson where we took Lamb, but Lamb finally proving himself as a number one. Jefferson is freakin ridiculous though.

Actually Cosell says this offense's talent is only so-so. Lamb is not a true #1. Other receivers are blah. As is Schultz and other TE's.

He likes Pollard. Zeke is blah. O-line about average. Better run blockers than pass blockers (which is true).

He doesn't explain the point production though. I'd be curious how he explains the 35 points per game average since Dak returned

Is it playcalling? Because it seems the entire Cowboys world except me wants Moore fired. So it can't be him. Is it Dak? Half of this forum thinks he should be living under a bridge instead of being a QB. So it can't be him either
The Cowboys score points because of the scheme and Dak Prescott. When CeeDee or Pollard starts cooking it opens up the offense. Look what happened when TY caught that 9 route it opened everything.

I heard him when he said that. I respect Cosell highly, but no one is infallible. Well, no one living among us in the flesh, that is.
Cosell is solid but he seems to have an Eagles slant when he analyzes things. He loves him some Wentz, Herbert, and Allen. I will give him this though he was busting on Lawrence last season and earlier this season when he was not playing well.

I wonder if Lamb looked at what Jefferson is doing and decided he had to up his game.

They were in the same draft class and will always be compared to each other. Maybe Jefferson has gotten Lamb's competitive juices flowing and we see the results. Who knows?

I think most of his drops were due to him looking ahead to where he was going to run.

Good to hear Tyreek Hill give such praise to CeeDee. With TY Hilton now on the team, TY mentioned how he has been giving pointers and showing CeeDee how to run better routes, get better separation and become an overall better receiver. It showed this past Saturday!

There is a thread talking about this...

TY is hopefully that guy this year. He fits what you’re looking for.

Defense adjusted and started bracketing CeeDee. TY is probably the only receiver besides CeeDee on the team that can consistently beat single coverage.
Exactly, and why they felt the need to look at OBJ, and eventually sign TY.
Was a wise FO move that will pay off large dividends.

F that child abuser! If any one of us harmed our child we would be fired for it. And rightfully so!

CeeDee IS coming on strong down the stretch. Glad to see that! :flagwave:
