He’s still very much above average.
He is one of the best still. We need good replacement and quit rotating players around. Steele played almost every position at one time. Pick one. If he was better than Collins then he should have started there and put Collins where Williams was. Williams was likely personally responsible for a game or 2 this season with his drive killing holding penalties..

Would you ratherhave an average tackle for 17 games or tyron for 11+ and the average guy for when tyron misses? Thats the current choice. He is our best option.

Ah your saying the older he gets he misses more games. So about 10 games for next season?
He’s 31 which is young for a OT
It may be time to look for the next LT but that guy is not on this roster and you aren’t gonna get him at pick 24 in a draft with no QB’s
So what the plan?

Have to draft his replacement and let him go in 2023. Tough to pay $12M for his release.

I will remind Trent Williams has not played a full season since 2013.
Yeah the whole "full-season" would discredit most of the all-pro caliber tackles.

Terron Amstead (despite being drafted 2 years after Smith) has played 10 games or less 5 different years (Smith has 10 games or less once just to put that into perspective). Trent Williams hasn't played a full season since 2013 yet he's arguably a top 5 player in the entire NFL.

Ronnie Stanley and David Bakirati both signed big money deals last Fall and then went AWOL (both injured during the season, missed the 2020 playoffs, and then both of them basically missed the entire 2021 season).

Tyrons health isn't good but it happens alot more then people think.

Per pro bowl, per all-pro team (tied for 3rd place in vote), per NFL top 100 (which doesn't have fan votes)

Funny how media and players keep voting him top 5 yet the only deflection is "uhhh per PFF"

His body is the age of a 36 year old NFL player.
Steele at LT and trade Tyron for a pick.

Tyron got beat quite a bit this year.

Based on?
He’s not offering any metrics probably an “eye test” guy. Not one NFL metric has Tyron as below a top 10 T, and most have him as top 5.

Dudes still a stud, people forget how little O-line talent there is; especially with colleges playing spread offenses and asking less and less from their T’s.

Yeah 28-30 is prime for these guys. But he is getting a lot of injuries. I don’t think his back bothered him this year. Williams rolled up in him when he got thrown around..

This man is devastating heart attack that comes and kills all of your OL chemistry every year and gets away with load management so he can rest and collect the game checks.

Have to move on from this guy via a trade.
Overdramatic much? He's rated as one the best OTs in the entire league. It affords him some latitude to miss a few games each year. ;)

He needs the Romo treatment. Half practice and therapy. A walk through and show up Sunday. He knows his job..
