14 million but waiting to see Tyron’s new cap number. Zeke is after June 1st= 10 million. I believe you could operate like you have that extra 10 million now.
No. Cap relief is not available until after June 1.

I think they should have traded Tyron for some sort of compensation last year. Here we are again, a year later, a year older and more wear and tear on Tyron.

He was a great player in his prime, but people who still think he is 80% of his former self, even when healthy, are fooling themselves.

How I will feel about this move depends on the terms of the deal. Being available to play and actually playing are two different things. I could see Tyron not being available due to injury, or getting abused while playing. He’s just not the same player.

Hopefully the new deal is based on percentage of snaps played and not “available to play” regarding being healthy.

Hey remember when Jerry said we cant be aggressive in FA a week ago bc of Daks contract?

Like I said earlier, a few internal moves and we could free up 50+ million…like we just did.
All the criticism Jerry got for being "too conservative" and not going "all in" apparently hit a nerve.

The team is freeing up cap and making moves all over the place when they usually just sit on their hands and do nothing.

Tyron Smith has been the official First Bank of the Dallas Cowboys for his entire career.
Always allows a restructure to free up cap, and had never held this franchise to the flames in negotiations.
Everyone always trying to dismiss this man from the roster,, all he has ever done is loan Jerry and this team money.
Tyron has been taken care of for a very good reason and will retire as a Cowboy someday.
Not too many players in this league have that type of loyalty and commitment.
Tyron deserves his place in the Ring of Honor.

Yep, much respect for Tyron.

Dude never held out (looking at you Zeke) or demanded top of the market contract (looking at you Dak).

They re-signed two guys and acquired a corner for a 5th round pick.

That's not a can to kick down the road.
They didn’t. He actually converted salary into incentives. Reduces the cap right now and if he plays enough to earn the incentives, great! That means he is healthy and playing well.

All of these restructurings are about resigning Parsons, Diggs and Lamb. Don't see the Cowboys going for overpriced FAs.
