There is so much micro-trauma a human body can take before the body collapses. NFL players are freaks of nature to sustain blows most humans would suffer catastrophic spine injuries. Tyron has played in the NFL since he was 20 at an unprecedented level of greatness. He belongs on the All-Time Cowboy OL, with Rayfield Wright at RT, Nate Newton and Larry Allen at guard and T. Fred at center. Let us honor his greatness and enjoy his hopeful last few games and place him into the ring of honor next year. What a great player!!!
JJ Watt, of Tyron's same draft class, already retired. We need to hit big on an OL draftee, another Tyler Smith type to plug and play at LG next year, moving the real Tyler to LT.
Too bad Connor Williams and Connor McGivern were not good enough to be star offensive linemen. Too bad Lael Collins had to have hip surgery which destroyed his OL talent and took away strength and agility. Whenever an NFL player has hip surgery, that is their end. I remember Tyrone Crawford had that surgery and played like he was on roller skates, always rolled back 5-7 yards, but Jerry loved him.
One last note for the younger fans, LDE Too Tall Jones never missed a game due to injuries in his entire career.
Remember the athlete freak of nature Byron Jones. He had 1st round plus athletic ability, great cover corner, but no INT's, plus +++ intelligence and character. In two seasons with the Dolphins, his body was completely destroyed and he had to retire. Remember 1st round Mike Sherrard,1986, the blazing speed, to rejuvenate Danny White's offense? He could not avoid broken bones. The Boys then had to draft Michael Irvin in 1988 who gave us greatness for many years until a bad neck injury force him to retire after the 1999 season (33 years old).
Our own D Lawrence had major shoulder surgery and since then has never restored himself to a 10+ sack season, but has become a great run defender.
The miracle man Drew Brees had a shoulder injury so bad, 100% torn labrum, no one as QB or baseball pitcher had ever came back to greatness, until him. Today, he cannot lift his right shoulder without pain and cannot throw with his right arm. I also had a torn labrum, one-third, and I could no longer throw as I used to. I have the same symptoms as Drew Brees, but without his $100 million net wealth.
