Tyron played RT in college and his rookie season in the NFL...

I think Tyler has always played on the Left (High School, College, NFL).

Peters looked good at RT but I would prefer to limit his snaps until the playoffs.

  • FYI:
    • I did a quick review of the game and counted 3 bad snaps for Josh Ball.
    • That's not good but it's not a Chaz Green level of fail.
    • Fans love to exaggerate.

My guess is that Tyron does not play next week.
- If not, then I think they rotate Peters and somebody (probably Ball) at RT.

Didn’t Ball allow his man to cause a fumble and an interception on back-to-back plays or was it someone else’s rusher on the fumble?

Pretty major fails. How many snaps did he have?
They normally don't release the snap counts until the day after the game.
- He played a few snaps at the end of the 1st half and all of the 2nd half except the final drive.

Like I said, it was obviously not a good performance, but it's probably an over-reaction for people to exclaim he should be cut tomorrow because he had 3 bad snaps.
- Based on that criteria, the entire team should be cut after this game...

Peters should be THE RT.
Only play ball in an absolute emergency.

Yeah maybe Ball can be a contributor at some point but this ain't the time now.

Its a no brainer to be Peters but the issue is snaps and I don't know if he's a full time starter at this point in his career. If Tyron is healthy he should be the LT. And he will be. Zack Martin will never leave that guard spot and Tyron will never leave that LT spot until he retires. They'd go with Ball first.

Having Peters fill in for one drive where you are going to pass it every down is different than taking over full-time.

Either way they need to figure out who the best 5 is and get them ready to go.

We will at least have some options when Tyron comes back. I'd give Peters first shot at filling the spot. Tyron would be a possibility if needed or if Tyron stays at LT and Tyler goes to LG, it could be Martin with McGovern at RG. None of those are ideal, but I'd rather not see Ball back out there until the next preseason.

2 really bad ones though. If he stays in we dont win 45 was killing him at the end.

Well if that happens we will be running a lot to the right with Tyron and Martin on that side.

According to the coaches they agree with the fans over reaction because they replace him with a player who did not take one rep of practice as the RT the entire season.

Best 5 has been best 6 lately, presumably because they don't think Peters can handle a full time load.

5 Tyler, McGovern, Biadasz, Martin, Peters
6 - Ball

How far away from playing is Farniok? If we get a G available, Martin could move out to RT on the stretches where Peters is resting.

After going into the game with Ball as the presumptive backup RT, *and* otherwise limiting Peters' snaps for weeks.

Reasonable conclusion that they were very disappointed with Ball's play. If Peters had been considered an option as backup RT#1, they of course would have given him some snaps this week. In fact, they would have been doing it since he got here. Same depth chart at RT since he got here.

Martin was impressive at rt when he had to in previous seasons.

Tyron Tyler biad McGovern and martin could be a part time rotation if peters needs a spell.
