Tyron Smith and Guyton nugget

Missing on first round picks is really damaging to a franchise. Missing two in a row is a killer, especially when there is not real free agency push. Guyton has to improve or the Cowboys are dead in the water.

Teams do it all the time. But like you said when you don’t use free agency it cripples you to miss. It also forces you to be perfect in the draft and it doesn’t happen. Especially late round picks. I’d probably even say Cowboys hit on first rounders more than most teams but factor in the 2nd rounders they’ve thrown away and no free agency? 28 years of misery.

even if you got three QUALITY starters from each draft, which no one does, it would still take you 7 drafts to get 21 of 22 starters.

and by year four or five, some of them will leave for FA.

which is how we have gone through all these years not sniffing a ring

So a pic of him doing it is not enough? The fact that he's working with Duke not enough? He's visably reshaped his body not enough?

What more should he be doing to satisfy you in off-season?
We hear this kind of talk every off season and more often than not it is lip service. I’d love to be wrong but this organization has a poor record

I hope Tyler Guyton puts in plenty of work with the weights to increase his upper body strength. I really think his upper arms, and chest could benefit from doing lots of bench press exercising. It should come in handy when he's doing pass protection vs. the opposing DEs.

I’ve been one of Guytons biggest critics, but I’m yet to hear anything besides he’s had a great work ethic and seems to be in better shape this year. Still need to see it when he has actual competition in front of him, but if the words being said are true there is reason for optimism.

Jerry's Way.

Guyton looks like he could push 340 and still be lean. I'm bewildered to believe he is over 320. Unique body type.
He's long and lanky -- that really seems to be his body type. He can help himself by working with the weights. Hopefully, his upper body strength can reap benefits from that. I hope he'll keep working to get stronger. Evidently, it's his best bet to find success. Strength will likely be his main goal in the future.

We have objectively one of the best offensive line success rates in the history of the NFL.

If this is just another commentary on the lack of playoff success, I’d say it has nothing to do with Guyton.
