Tyron Smith Can Be Useful

Sign him to a friendly deal. He will be swing tackle, but most importantly, bring him in as a sixth lineman in short yardage downs.
His time is up and the Cowboys really don't need to waste a roster spot on a player that can't play full time if needed, not a gadget player.

But, he was a good one that is for sure.

Let me get this straight, you want to bring back a player we know is pretty much washed had his worst season last year, we just had Martin retire when he should,
Tyrone Smith should be retired as of before last season ,

instead he took the 6,000,000 and had a bad season..

I get what you're saying there's no way his ego would allow him to come here at a better minimum and that's all I would pay him whatever a star of his caliber gets better minimum like 1,000,000 or 1.18 million whatever it is he would have to have that and then a bunch of incentives if not he simply doesn't have it anymore..

But yes, I understand you get them that cheap he can be chuma I mean Edoga was barely serviceable as was Peters, but I guess if you can get him for that cheap then he'd be worth bringing as a swing tackle.

They brought back Elliott last year when he was clearly cooked years earlier, so why not?

He could probably use one last Jerry payday for the road.

Yes, Tyron Smith can be useful.

But at his age, with all his past injuries, does HE want to go through the offseason program, training camp, and weekly practices just to stand on the sidelines most of the year?

I think Tyron would rather retire if he can't start somewhere. At this point in his career being a backup is just a waste of his talents- and time.
