Tyron Smith misses practice again

Ugh. Sounds like a whole lot more than some spasms.....

This is a potentially scary injury. Tyron Smith is the best in the business, and arguably the best player on the Cowboy roster. Having a tackle with back issues is a scary proposition.

You can interpret it as negatively as you want but this is being handled exactly the way back spasms are handled.

It truly is. Tyron Smith is a foundational player for this team. A rock they felt they could count on for the next decade. We all know only too well what a problem back issues can be, and if this is a lingering issue, both he and this team are in serious trouble.

Hopefully, it's a muscular issue and not a structural one.

How should the team's starting left tackle missing time with a back injury be "interpreted"? Positively? Is this somehow a good thing?

He has a neck stinger, which triggered the back spasms. And really, have you ever had a back spasm? Shooot, I have. Those things make you feel like you're about to die. You are done. Finished. Finit. On the floor. Don't ask me to move. Done.
They are, but they usually relax in a 4-5 days. Unless something structural is wrong.

The stinger is the more worrisome of the two, if that's indeed what the trigger for the spasms are. The stinger indicates nerve trauma - never a good thing.
