Cowboys LT Tyron Smith on what he’s done this offseason to try to stay healthy: “I’ve been concentrating on the small things, getting the work I need, getting work after practice to stay on track so I can stay healthy on the field.”

Does he ever feel jinxed with his injury history?

“No. I don’t even think that way. It’s a waste of my energy. … Last year was a freak accident. You can’t think too much about that. Just continue moving forward and doing the right things moving forward.”

Good luck but we know he did try a lot of different types of conditioning and stretching and muscle load/balance training. At this point he needs to do Chinese medicine and crystal homeopathic stuff.

His body is breaking down. I’m not in denial about it, and we should hope the FO isn’t either.

He has missed a lot of games the last few years— so you have to anticipate him missing more time and should plan accordingly.

If he bucks his trend and plays every game this season— consider it a huge bonus.

Like he said, last year was a freak accident. It's not like he was injured because he's out of shape or fragile.
That's the thing about injuries. There really isn't much you can do to eliminate all of them. Its genetics and luck.

Yep, all true.
But I will give credit where credit is due in saying that McClay and his scout team found another first rd oline gem in Tyler as the long term replacement.
It's the one consistently good thing this team has shown the last 10-15 years.
Scouting, selecting and developing 1st rd o-linemen.

Now, with all that said I wonder if there's a Vegas line on number of games before Tyron goes out.
This is pretty much the sad reality.

But heres to hope that Tyron finds a way to beat all the odds this year! Fingers crossed and all that.
