Yep a career backup. Mcgovern was better. Sadly.Chuma.
Should have taken the guard in the 2nd round or spent more in FA to sign a legitimate starter.

What makes you think the “guard” in the 2nd wouldn’t be a career back?Yep a career backup. Mcgovern was better. Sadly.

No. The Cowboys don't draft guards.Should have taken the guard in the 2nd round
What makes you think he would be?What makes you think the “guard” in the 2nd wouldn’t be a career back?
I would have taken a tackle or a center as well.No. The Cowboys don't draft guards.
Connor Williams, Connor McGovern, Josh Ball…….not the best track record…..What makes you think he would be?
Only 2nd rounder in there was Williams. And yah he was a bomb early. But he was better than Chuma eventually.Connor Williams, Connor McGovern, Josh Ball…….not the best track record…..
I mean if they didn’t like Torrence they didn’t like him…..Only 2nd rounder in there was Williams. And yah he was a bomb early. But he was better than Chuma eventually.
Torrence was the #1 rated guard in the draft and rated a first round pick. Take that for what its worth.
Or we could just look at most 2nd rounders for the boys and say most are busts. But then that would mean Schoonmaker is too.
Either way, it would have been a better plan then Chuma. I would rather have Torrence AND Chuma.
Possibly. That would make sense as they really needed a guard. But then again, we know they screw up the 2nd round often. Lots of teams passed on Torrence. But there were other tackles and centers they could have taken. Maybe after the smoke has cleared on Schoonmaker and Torrence and some of these other guys they passed up we can make a better judgement.I mean if they didn’t like Torrence they didn’t like him…..
Interesting that Mcgovern actually signed with Buffalo and Torrence is competing with him for a starting guard spot. Will be interesting to watch what happens.I mean if they didn’t like Torrence they didn’t like him…..
They plan on starting both?Interesting that Mcgovern actually signed with Buffalo and Torrence is competing with him for a starting guard spot. Will be interesting to watch what happens.
It’s hard to predict anything at all along the offensive line before the pads get on. But it looks as if Torrence and McGovern will get a good look to be the opening-day starters. Torrence was a high draft pick while McGovern signed a decent $25 million deal with the Bills.
For sure!!!!!!Put this man in bubble wrap until the season opener
I think Parsons is a freak.I’m watching some practice reps, Tyron hasn’t looked good. Granted, it’s been going against Micah Parsons, but it’s been tough to watch.
I don’t know if Parsons is set to be All-World, or if Smith is washed up.
If he’s as good as he’s looked against Tyron, he’s set to break the all-time single-season sack record.I think Parsons is a freak.
PossiblyThey plan on starting both?
OL gonna get hurt.Lots that wanted him replaced with someone good and reliable. Someone like Tyler Smith.
His salary might be worth it on a year you can contend like this year. But having no quality backups is the problem. You have to assume he is going to get hurt. So who is your starter off the bench? This is where management has failed.
