Why do I get the feeling this is a long term issue? Bone spurs do not melt away. The stay put and possibly grow bigger or multiply.
He’s out at least another 2-3 weeks minimum
Exactly what I was thinking. If he’s gonna rest 2-3 weeks hoping that it’ll naturally start feeling better, why did they not just bite the bullet and have a surgery to FOR SURE clean it up? Makes no senseThey need to figure out a way to get him in there. If the recovery time for surgery is 4 weeks, why wasn't it done a week or 2 ago? He will be needed for the stretch run. As it is now, he's probably going to be in and out of the lineup the rest of the year.
Just rest the guy until he is fully healthy.
You can win without him if you just show up to play football.
Get that guy healthy.
This thread title could be applied to Tyron nearly every week now. Sucks. The guy is so busted up, but it’s hard to move on from him because he’s still so good when he actually can play
It won’t go away; it’s a bone spur. The only real option would be to remove it.
I'd seriously consider flipping Collins and Steele. Neither is probably a LT but Collins likely has a better chance of holding up there than Steele IMO.
Yeah I wonder why they didn’t.
It is interesting. Guys want to get rid of him. Yet they see what happens when he is out of the lineup. They need him to play. Drafting another Tyron Smith against huge odds. He's a Hall of Famer who still plays at an elite level. This is not his neck or back.I get it but this isn't a worn down player issue. He's got a bone spur. It's just unfortunate to happen this early in the season. This is nothing that will carry with him into the future.
Load him up on some narcotics and let's roll.Because it would take him out longer due to recovery. Right now it’s a pain management issue.
