Tyrone Crawford feels like a ‘butterfly’ at defensive end

Tyrone Crawford didn’t take any practice reps at defensive end last week, but the Dallas Cowboys moved him there in the second half Sunday at Washington.

It paid off, too, as Crawford got his first sack of the season in the fourth quarter of the Cowboys’ 27-23 victory.

And that’s not to mention that Crawford came out of the game feeling much better than he does when he spends his day at his usual home as the three-technique tackle.

“I feel like I get hit by a bus [at the three-technique spot],” Crawford said, smiling. “And this time after the game, I feel like a fricken butterfly.

“That’s a great thing.”

Would someone please tell Tyrone that the idea is for him to make the other team's QB feel like he's been "hit by a bus".

Good leave him at LDE...whatever works man!

We need to get bigger at DT anyway and McClain, Thornton and Collins are all over 300lbs.

Also, whoever plays the "mike" needs to be closer to the LOS, to either close running lanes faster or blitz.

This defense needs to get more creative and not be so vanilla.

All I care about is him being effective at DE all this other stuff is in people own heads in how they want to interpret thing. People want to make this personal with the name calling and other crap. If he can bring pressure and get after the QB I would think people would be happy given the fact no one else is at this stage.

According to Broaddus, Hitchens is probably going to lose his job at MLB to Durant.

IF he is just average at LDE I would love to see what he has to say after this. this is his last chance june 1st cut probably in the making. His bullrush tho did look impressive vs the Commanders on that one sack. Morgan Moses looked like he was roller skating backwards. No more excuses for this guy tho.

Tyrone should feel "very lucky" to have a job. He is a major, over paid, disappointment and part of the reason the Cowboy Defense is so poor. He needs to go. He has been hanging around Dallas for years and contributing nothing. The Cowboy FO is the only one that would tolerate this under achiever.

I like Durant and Hitchens,...sadly they are different dogs with the same flees. Not good enough in the long run. Too bad. Character players.

What this defense really needs is to be a different team's defense, with different players at almost every position. This scheme, and front 7 is absolutely horrific. The Front Office should be ashamed of itself. Honestly- this is a Canadian Football League talent level defense, with a smidge of extra "gamey-ness" to hang in there once in a while.

That's it.
