I haven't seen much love for Crawford . His performance tonight was outstanding and he deserves his own thread . What an excellent draft pick . This guy was absolutely dominate vs the Eagles . Strong against the run and two sacks. Just love the guys motor . I think he's the starter for years .

2 sacks tonight. He is the only one that is showing something from that horrible 2012 draft.

Wilber from that draft had the fumble recovery tonight, which was a big play at that point in the game. We used Dunbar and Beasley a fair amount. On top of Crawford and, of course, Leary.

Wilbur? Really? I didn't even know he was still on the team. Dunbar, Beasley and Leary wasn't drafted.

I'm sure I did post "2012 DRAFT" and not "2012 rookie class".

Ok. That's always such a weird distinction to me, since all those players came from the same pool of talent that was graded by the same people for the same purpose. If you find your WR in CFA and not in the 5th round, what does it really matter?

Who would ever find a good player after the draft, we all know that never happens. *Looks at the Cowboys roster* ummm... nevermind

You sound so optimistic -- but I agree; really pumped about the youth and their upside.

Going into the the game, I was worried that our biggest weakness was the DL matchup against the Sheagles OL. Then when Brent was scratched, I thought we were in trouble. The play of Mincy, Crawford, and T-Mac was better than expected and made the necessary plays and adjustments.
Spencer and Melton were ghosts, and Lawrence is still learning the NFL game.

Need a FA and first rounder for this group next year.

I would like to see Crawford have a few reps at DE during push rush sequences. I think we have more talent at DT than DE. I not talking full time, just in some situations where its obvious pass rush downs. Kinda like moving JJ WATT or your best pass rusher around the line of scrimmage.

Him and Mincey are keepers. They need to get better players beyond them. The defensive front is priority number one in the offseason of course besides locking up Dez and some other guys.

Agreed. Now, Crawford needs to find a suitable, yet comfortable weight for him to play 3T the rest of his career. He probably needs to get back up to 285-290 so he can anchor better, YET, not lose his quickness. As for Mincey, I think they need to shift him to LE, where he is facing (in most cases) less athletic RT's. His size (6'4", 270-280) screams LE in this scheme. All they need now is to draft/sign a true Rush End - even if they drafted Lawrence for that job. As the G-Men have shown, you can NEVER have too many pass rushers.

Nice analysis. Agree on all points. The Brent not able to play had me worried also.

It was only a matter of time before the sacks started coming.

He's playing good at that weight, just leave him at that, remember we have had problems with players adding weight as trying to loose it, he stays at that we get a true 1-tech, add 1 FA pass rusher and another in draft.
