tyrone smith vs JPP

A couple things I noticed... Tyron played really well in those clips and Costa wasn't bad at all.
Funny thing that happens when people watch him play by play.

the first sack around 46 second mark seemed more like a bad line call/ communication by the line. 75 and costa double team blocks the DT, 75 left the linebacker 94 for felix who tries to cut him but didn't do a real good job. Free had JPP blocked but romo moved out of the pocket and right into the hands of JPP. That play wasn't free's fault at all.

Another thing I noticed is the giants killed us with stunts and twist by the d-line. Our guards just failed to see them. No wonder we went and got 2 new guards lol

2:52 mark is vintage romo...he dodged so many sacks lol

another thing I noticed. Tyron smith is strong. We he got his hands on his man #Over

That's the Giants Dline they always run stunts. It's a reason why NO dominates them because of their All Pro guards.

JPP is power. Tyron is power. That match up is going to be great.

Dockery is 75? Yea he was subpar in that video.

we had dockery starting:eek:

I think we will fare better this year. We are alot stronger at the guard position. Kosier and dockery to Livings and Berny.

If you noticed the Giants were fully aware of Dockery starting in that Week 17 game.

They ran alot of stunts to the left side early on to test Dockery and if you include Free having a tough time handling JPP one on one they made it difficult for offense to get going because both of those guys did terrible.

Lol? Then who is. JPP is easily the second best PR in this division.

Trent Cole is the best 4-3 Defensive End in the NFL. JPP is probably top 3.

This is why our OL/DL has been practicing stunts all offseason and training camp.

What worries me the most is having an injury happen to one of the OL and the next guy up gets tested and is lost out there because of the lack of reps.

I didn't know the Giants had so much of an influence

That's a concern for everyone in the NFL. Going in I know Wilson is going to have at least 10 touches, I would hate for Bradshaw to get injured, I don't like his pass blocking but it's a learning process.

Uh yeah. JPP was very good last season and get's lots of national media attention but he isn't as good as Trent Cole or Jared Allen yet.

I worry about Smith. The transition hasn't been seamless. He's been beat a few times this preseason.

I think he'll get better as the season progresses. But early on, I think he'll suffer from growing pains.

I can remember Larry Allen getting abused by Reggie White in 94. Reggie threw Allen aside with one hand in one particular possession. As the season, and Allen's career, continued....well....Allen was Allen. It did take a while.

I think the Giants will try to match JPP up as many times as possible vs Tyron. I think JPP will, at times, make Tyron look silly.

By the time our second matchup occurs, then I think Smith will have a better showing.

Trent Cole is very good and extremely under rated (favorite eagles player) but he's definately not the best. Top 5 mabe.

Perhaps, but he won't look sillier than Free against JPP

Allen, JPP, Babin, Long, Abraham, Peppers, Dumervil, M. Williams. Trent Cole is not the best in the league.

Our OL has been terrible at being able to pick up stunts for quite a few seasons. They have been working on it all year because it's been a weakness.

Our DL has been practicing it as well because last season they had alot of issues attacking the right gaps when the play called for it. Ryan tried to throw in his whole playbook in training camp and the players didn't grasp it very well. And then you include Newman's decline and Jenkin's shoulder injury we really just folded like a cheap lawn chair late in the season.

Yeah, I think the'll just line up and let him feast on Free.

Doug Free can't handle him at all.

JPP is a hell of a player. I think I would probably give him the early advantage but once Tyron gets his feet under him at LT later on in the year, I think Tyron can hold negate him as much as possible.

Maybe the new TE will stay in and help Free...he's supposed to be a good blocker.

I think the Cowboys got it covered...

Yeah he is. Babin is a bigger name and you couldn't get an Eagles fan to say Babin is better.

I'm more worried about Free vs Tuck and Osi than JPP vs Smith.
