U2 or Thin Lizzy...

Ive never understood the appeal of U2 and if it wasnt for open string dronings and harmonics the edge wouldnt have anything to offer

I like a few U2 songs over the years. Never a big fan of them, never have bought any of their stuff. But I have liked a few songs.

One thing I will say in the edge's favor is...he has his own style and sound. Most times even if you don't know a song played by them, you will think...that sounds like U or the Edge playing. It is different. Not my taste in guitar but he has made his sound. Which I guess is something that many guitarists in many popular bands over the years can not lay claim to.

So...although I just like a few of their songs, although I would not buy anything of theirs...I do give credit to the guy even if he is not my cup of tea.
