We attempted to sign Caleb Hanie, a QB from Colorado State. He turned us down in favor of the Bears, although he was a lifetime fan of the Cowboys. Understandable since he would have a much better opportunity there.

But we did sign Daniel Polk, a QB/WR from Midwestern State. I believe silverbear talked about him the other day. He'll be like Crayton and convert to WR after playing QB in college.

Excellent... glad to hear it...

I was amazed. I wonder if he's signed with anyone. That'd be nice if we got him for free.

Amazed, man? The guy is an idiot. In a world where Adam got in so much heat for being a knucklehead, he couldn't stay clean for a few weeks between the combine and draft knowing his stock was already dropping.

He'll get a call from someone, once they know what's up with his weed case but I wasn't surprised no one wanted that kind of poor attention on draft day.

I think my biggest target right now would be Robert Felton, guard from Arkansas. If you look at McFadden and Jones clips, they had huge holes to run through for the most part. Felton graded out better than just about every guard in this draft (Branden Albert included). He even started 11 games at RT for Arkansas in '05 and graded out as good as some of the 1st round tackles. No idea why he wasn't drafted.

He's the top rated offensive lineman left on my board... Eric Young from Tennessee is second rated, I can't believe that these two weren't drafted...

Good deal for Bowman. I know a few people on this board wanted him on our team. He pretty much dropped everything at the combine or else he would have be a pretty high pick IMO. He looked great during the season.

Adarius Bowman has signed with Dallas. Reported on OKC radio

Oh really? That's crazy, I'm glad to have him, I hope he gets his crap together. Hope he actually makes the team too, there's always the chance he gets cut.

I hope this is true. Although he dropped something like 30 passes last year.

Does anyone have any scouting reports (or links) on Bowman? Every thing I read seems to indicate a serious lack of speed for the position coupled with poor hands at the Senior Bowl. Did his size matter that much? How did he succeed in college?

He is slow, that's a fact. He's also physical, makes the spectacular catch, can break tackles and run after the catch but is not sure handed... hence the T.O. comparisons.

im not sure but if brian johnston went undrafted we should defintley bring him in.

Chiefs took him in the 7th rd. I wish we would have taken him instead of Walden!

Same here, but I'm choosing to trust Wade that Walden fits our scheme better.

Bowman was a nice signing.
Yes, he is an idiot but the guy was the go-to guy for a big conference middle of the road team. He did produce.

He is like a slow version of T.O., rofl.

If he had come out a year earlier he woulda been drafted without doubt.
Still was a quite productive guy.

Amendola was also nice.

He is not as good as Wes Welker but they are best friends and shared some of the same traits, mainly toughness. Amendola is not as quick as Wes but he makes tough catches over the middle the same and has the cojones to return kicks if not the skill of a Felix Jones.

The UDFA list thus far is really impressive.

The kid from Hampton looks like a perfect 3-4 DE with about 2 years of NFL weight training under his belt.

I hope we can snag a decent QB prospect but the ones I knew of have signed elsewhere:(
