So tonight is the big return to the Octagon for both Chuck Liddell and Rich Franklin.

I'll admit that I'm a HUGE Chuck Liddell fan. I always have been and it was really sad to see how poorly he's done in 4 of his last 5 fights. When they first announced that Rich was the guy taking Tito's place I was really concerned that it was just another devastating loss awaiting Chuck but after seeing him at the weigh ins today I'm a feeling a bit more optomistic.

I realise that the likelyhood is that Rich will win cause he's a fantastic fighter, younger, and probably more well rounded but to see Chuck for the first time in forever in excellent condition, I mean the dude doesn't even have the little pooch he normally has to his stomach he's actually worked out really hard it appears, gives me hope that he's taking this a lot more serious than he seemed to be in the last few years.

I like both fighters, a ton, and have a great deal of respect for them but I'll certainly be hoping that Chuck gets back to his winning ways with a big time KO of Rich.

Chuck is done, his conditioning wasn't really the problem in his last few fights he just can't seem to take a punch anymore. I hope he KO's Franklin but i can see Franklin winning this on a decision

Crocop is the co main event,.. Cropcop,.. that the best you could do Dana, really?

Why is this guy still around? He's gonna get KO'd bad tonight unless he quits again

Eh I don't mind Crocop honestly. You know that something entertaining will likely happen. Either he'll get a nice KO or TKO or his opponent will KO him. Generally, at least the fights I've seen of his, have been pretty entertaining for the most part.

And I disagree with the conditioning on Chuck cause I do believe it was a major problem. I believe he was just so used to getting KO's that he didn't train properly to defend himself or to fight for more than a few minutes and in his last few fights it really showed cause it seemed like he slowed way down because of it and left himself wide open for punches he wouldn't normally leave himself wide open for in desperate attempts to land killer KO punches in order to get out of fights quickly.

I'm still not sure what to expect, if anything, out of Chuck tonight but I'm certainly more hopeful than I was before.

I'm watching it online. There wasn't enough going on with it that would get me and my buddies to order it. We'll be ordering the Lesnar/Carwin card though for sure.

I'm still looking forward to a few of these fights on the feed cause I think there could be some entertaining ones including the top two fights on the card.

Man, that was a pretty good fight.

Mirko survived and then took it.

Barry made a big mistake letting Mirko get his senses back he hurt him twice but never attacked him in an effort to finish him.

Props to Mirko for hanging tough and finishing him.

Wow Lidell did everything right in this fight. He fought pretty well and did not even get winded. Too bad those knockouts caught up to him, he has been in too many wars and cannot take a shot anymore. I'm not saying that Franklin doesn't have power, but the shot that KO'd Chuck would not have put him out five years ago. Those KO's by Rampage, Evans, and Shogun were brutal and Chuck just can't take a good hit anymore.

Yep. My thoughts as well. He just doesn't have the ability to take a punch anymore. I was hoping that the proper training and stuff would have taught him to do a better job of protecting that chin but as usual he went for that big right, missed, and left his chin wide open for a counter punch and it puts him clean out again.

It's a very sad end to his career. 1-5 in his last six with 4 KO losses. It's just sad to see that he held on far to long and ended a wonderful career in that manner.

Props to Rich Franklin for fighting through that broken arm though. That dude is tough and I agree with White that he's seriously under-rated. He's one of my favorites but as I said before I was certainly rooting for Chuck tonight so I'm bummed.

Nice win for Mirko. That was a great job of coming back from those big shots in the first round to hang in there and finish it in the third round.

Fought with a broken arm?

Yeah Chuck hit him with a great leg kick that he blocked with his left arm and the power from the kick broke it. I'm pretty sure it happened fairly early in the fight and he fought the rest of that first round with a broken left arm. Rich is a tough dude.

Yes he is, but I would have liked to see Lidell get his hands on Tito for talking all that ****. Too bad Tito ridiculed his fighter who was legitimately hurt and then he quits his fight against Chuck. Talk about a double standard.
