UFC on FOX

I agree, but up until now I hadn't seen one bad moment for Cain. He was so dominant in every fight. I had never seen Dos Santos before tonight.

I think Brock Lesnar is happier than he would like to admit, because I don't think he can beat Cain. I do think he can beat Junior.

Brock's chin seems pretty weak. I think he's in trouble if he gets past his next fight.

All that build up for a 30 second fight. That is the risk when you put two huge punchers in there. I have a feeling JR is going to hold onto the belt for a while.

Yep. 30 seconds Of felling each other out and 34 seconds after that it was over

I think Alistair Overreem can beat anyone

Just missed it, what'd he say?
I mean he wasn't like Waaaaaa what a short fight what a bad promotion! But you could tell that is what he meant. He was saying how he's no strategist but he didn't understand why in the world the strategy of Cain was to stand in front of Junior and not attack him early and wear him down to "take him into the later rounds" you could tell he was miffed about it.

They'll be fine. A certain segment of the public is going to hate it no matter what happens(they think boxing is somehow totally different)

The other segment who need the free fights to become fans will get good product. And the 1 punch stoppages are part of what makes it great. You can't blink.

Should have been a bigger card though.

This........after he wins against Lesner and fights JDS the winner will not have any 1 else 2 fight

He'll hold it for as long as it takes Overeem to get a title shot

His next fight is a nightmare for someone with a weak chin

This was definitely a huge blow for UFC. The sad part is this happens time after time in MMA, which is one of the reasons I dont think it'll fully crossover.

And im not really shocked at the outcome. Just how fast it happend.

Cain was out for a year coming off of shoulder surgery. He was so tentative from the start. Once he started trying to face up Dos Santos, it was over. That's not who he is. And when he tries that against a great boxer, he's gonna lose every time.

This was a really bad match up for Cain to return to. I doubt we'll see anywhere near the same result if they fight again.

I don't see any problem with how the fight ended, it happens all the time in MMA, Kickboxing boxing and what ever else you can think of. Their mistake was making it a 1 fight card on Fox

Do you think everyone knew of JDS's miniscus tear and arranged for the bout to be stand-up (couldn't withdraw last minute from such a big event)?

Alistair Overeem looks opposing but the guy hasn't really fought any top caliber heavyweights either. I think he will beat Lesnar but it is going to be a whole new level to take on Jr.

JDS's hands are just so fast.

He's the 2010 K-1 world GP HW champ so as far as fighting stand up fighters he matches up very favorably with anyone even JDS, he has fought and beaten better stand up fighters then JDS in pure stand up fights. Overeem is the best stand up HW in the world right now and his ground game is decent enough to get out of trouble against most fighters with the exception of someone like Brock who has the power to keep him down if he gets him down

Bad business by Dana. I usually like Dana White, but to essentially discredit your new heavyweight champion by saying "Velasquez could've and should've done this" is just bad. It was quite obvious he wanted Velasquez to win that fight. Velasquez did go for a takedown. He couldn't get it. He got knocked out.

This fight was no more a fluke than Velasquez vs. Lesnar. I mean, it is what it is. You can't get punched where Velasquez got punched. At this point you have to say Dos Santos is better than Velasquez and leave it at that.

Where I think Dos Santos will see trouble is against the first wrestler to get him to the ground.

UFC fan boy huh??? Get some variety n ur MMA man......Overeem is the best HW right now!! He's the 1st guy EVER 2 hold both MMA major title and K-1 title at the same time.

Trust me whn I say he's the real deal

They totally botched this thing. Why they didn't do a full card, as a way to introduce fans, is completely beyond me. Heavyweight fights RARELY go the distance, so maybe they were just hoping for a knockout. Well they got one, and it showcased absolutely nothing to people that aren't familiar with the sport.

I love Reem personally, but some of that multi title stuff is partly because the UFC doesn't cross promote. The truth of the matter is regardless of what Reem has done in the past, no one would consider him #1 till he proves it in the UFC. I'd LOVE to see Reem vs JDS, and I think we will. Brock is a poser.

The dream title is a joke, they pulled someone of the street to face him in that fight. Strikeforce is what it is, the best of the rest. The K-1 title is legit i doubt anyone in the UFC could win the K-1 world GP. Brock better get him down with his first take down attempt cause if doesn't he's in for the KO of a life time.

I can't wait for that fight it's going to be like something out of a Godzilla movie, that size and strength advantage Brock has in his fights i'm not so sure he'll have over Overeem

I don't want the Brock thing to be over so soon. Just seeing his hulk like presence in the cage, moving as well as he does, is fascinating,

Overreem isn't exactly Terrence Cody either.

I agree with the above. Pride be damned, Brock needs to tackle his *** any way he can. His boxing Is weak and he doesn't take punches well.

We got a fun as he'll round robin coming up between these heavyweights
