Ugly win but I will take it

A win is great! It would've been easy to give in. I'm still very alarmed that we have such poor game management at the end of games. How do we get a delay penalty after a time out? We get a first down if we snap the ball(Harris's play would've gained enough). We pass instead of run to let them keep a TO. Then we give up a bad return.

We still have to get those issues fixed.

Its still a process.

And it looks like the same ole process.

The process is rolling along.

I will always take the win, however, this team needs to eliminate the turnovers or .500 football is back again quick!

They found a way to win regardless, which is unlike years past!

This is the kind of win that builds character. This is the kind of win that the team needs heading up to Seattle. They had this one in the bag, and almost gave it away, before taking it in the end.

They cannot afford this kind of game next week. Seattle will downright beast on us if we turn it over 3 times, drop TD passes, and allow Lynch to gut us up the middle.

Ugly wins are still wins. Ugly wins make you a better team. Ugly wins prepare you better for the postseason. So I will take this ugly win and enjoy it for the next 7 days.

That's exactly right.

This team knows that too, but it was really nice to see the players get a chance for concrete evidence that this isn't the same old Cowboys.

With each subsequent win, the team is mentally changing. Mentally buying in to Garrett's philosophy of toughness and determination.

They can feel a difference just like we can see one.

Fantastic!

this is truth.

Some think that everybody is just happy and seen none of the problems with this game.

We ALL see it was an ugly win, we all seen the turn over problems, we all seen the defense give up a bunch of yards to another running back, we all know most do not win a game when they lose the turn over battle.

But the team did win..and it is killing some.

 I'm sure there's a country western song in there somewhere. Ain't no such thing as an ugly win this year.

There's a song, but it's not a country song. Those were Thunder Road lyrics I was referencing from the best-opening-line-of-a-song thread from earlier in the week. :)

I don't get it. We overcame enough mistakes to lose several games and beat a team that is not only an in-state rival, but one with a good winning record (3-1). To do that, we held them to 17 points and got a big defensive stop in OT, not to mention some brilliant offensive play driving down the field and kicking the winning field goal. To me, this is something to celebrate.

That said, the Special Teams coach needs to step up his game big-time.
