Romo played like crap today....passes high, passes behind, passes too far in front...passes late.

Campbell played and passed the best I've seen in his career, and I live in Commanders land, so I see a lot of them.

The Skins defense is legit and one of the best in the NFL...#1 in pass defense; it's their offense that's been killing them...today, their offense took care of the ball till the very end.

Ware, Ratliff and company did very little against the Skins patchwork OL.

But while our offense sucked, our defense did everything it could and held the Skins without a TD.

We're 7-3, and we'll be 8-3 after Thanksgiving. There's a reason Wade Phillips is 5-0 after a bye...give him time to get his defense ready, and it plays great. That's good news for us as we go into NY after the Thanksgiving break.

Romo will have more accurate days than he did today, but Garrett has to find a way to get this offense moving; he has to find a way to get more out of Felix, who is starting to look like a poor first round selection at this moment...just this moment...plenty of time for him.

Unless Romo implodes, I think we stand a very good chance of being 9-3 after the NY game. I'm not fretting over this ugly 7-6 win any more than I did over the overtime win at KC...they're both in the win column. :star:

I care.

I think about more than about the immediate game.

While I am more than happy that we won, we were going up against a team that was once again missing players, and their subs kicked our butts.

Having said that, this IS the NFL and all of these guys are good.

probably b/c you know that if Romo throws a few better passes, this game is not close at all.

Playcalling was actually good today for the most part. Run game was effective enough. Romo's passes were jsut off..often.

Defense had a great game IMO.

You are talking about the Washington Commanders

The Commanders are terrible. Probably the worst team in the NFL this year

Same here. I don't know what to make of this team despite the 7-3 record.

Same problems, Garrett seems lost in his play calling. Roy Williams is worthless. Penalties at the worst time. But it doesn’t matter. Just win on Turkey day and we are 8-3 and in great position. Maybe the break will help them refocus.

The Browns and the Raiders are by far worse.....as well as a couple oif other teams.

I'd say the Commanders are the 25th or 26th worst team....which makes this close win depressing....we should have been all over them.

I get the point of the OP, but you cannot count the ways we were lucky today.

Great performance by the defense though.

I have seen quite a few NFL games this year

The Commanders are by far the worst team in the NFL this year. What happened against the Broncos last week was a combination of a fluke injury, and my Denver fan cousin joining me at the stadium :laugh2:

At 2-2 I was thinking 2-14. Obviously its now going to be 3-13

My all-over-the-place feelings are this.

As always, as a fan I refuse to apologize for a win. I consider these precious and like to enjoy them. It is nice to be 7-3.

Also, to take the homeristic side one step further, you can't transfer points from one game to another. Realistically, how we won today won't matter in a month. All that matters is we won.

With that said, we've got a LOT of work to do if we are going to be a serious playoff threat. Our record is good enough that I'm starting to think we should at least get into the postseason, but I'm not yet convinced we have a shot to win a game once we're in.

Offensively, we're in probably the worst funk we've been in under Romo/Garrett, and we haven't even hit December (had to get that obligatory line in). It looks like we don't know what we want to be.

But seasons have peaks and valleys, and I'd like to think a bad two-game stretch in November doesn't automatically end our season. Hopefully we're stronger than that and can figure out what's not working.

How do blame Garrett for his play calling today. His play calling was pretty good today it was the execution that was the problem. Romo missing badly, a couple of drops by Roy and Witten. Ran the ball very well. Garrett can't win with some peopole.

Worst team in the NFL wouldn't have the #1 pass defense...injuries along the OL have killed the Skins offense which wasn't very good to begin with, but at this point, they can't afford to even try to throw deep to Moss without protection.

Not me...that was a great drive at the end to win it. It wasn't pretty but the Skins came to play and with both teams running it milked the clock down. We again seemed out of rhythm with the play calling. When we had no real choice but to go with the flow, we drove it down the field for the win. I liked us running it but it may have been overkill early on.

I'll take that win any day!

Yeah, in great position. We always seem to be in a great position this time of year. Great position to implode.

Games like these are important for us. We need them and we need to win them......cause it builds character come playoff time, when points are a premium.

For this team to grow, they need these ugly wins. They need to have to work, fight, and claw for a few victories during the year.

As far as entertainment value goes, I care a lot about how we play during the game......but when it is all said and done, once the game is over, all I truly care about is the W. I dont care if we rank last in every offensive or defensive category. I dont care if we give up tons of yards. All I care about is having at least 1 more point than our opponent at the end of every single game.
