Romo played like crap today....passes high, passes behind, passes too far in front...passes late.

Campbell played and passed the best I've seen in his career, and I live in Commanders land, so I see a lot of them.

The Skins defense is legit and one of the best in the NFL...#1 in pass defense; it's their offense that's been killing them...today, their offense took care of the ball till the very end.

Ware, Ratliff and company did very little against the Skins patchwork OL.

But while our offense sucked, our defense did everything it could and held the Skins without a TD.

We're 7-3, and we'll be 8-3 after Thanksgiving. There's a reason Wade Phillips is 5-0 after a bye...give him time to get his defense ready, and it plays great. That's good news for us as we go into NY after the Thanksgiving break.

Romo will have more accurate days than he did today, but Garrett has to find a way to get this offense moving; he has to find a way to get more out of Felix, who is starting to look like a poor first round selection at this moment...just this moment...plenty of time for him.

Unless Romo implodes, I think we stand a very good chance of being 9-3 after the NY game. I'm not fretting over this ugly 7-6 win any more than I did over the overtime win at KC...they're both in the win column. :star:

...man after what i saw today, the Cowboys could EASILY lose to the Raiders...Romo has to get this offense going...he was dreadful with his accuracy again today...you can blame the back contusion but we've seen him chuck it all over the place before, namely the Denver game...

...Roy Williams is made of glass...you want to give a guy a chance but really..this becoming painful and gut-wrenching to watch...you could cut him a little slack with Romo's off day [he's barely 60% passing this year and will probably be under that after today] but when balls hit your hands productive NFL receivers should come down with at least half of them...

...Austin is just not getting any help right now...Williams and Crayton are really close to replacement level right now, despite Crayton's TD grab off of Romo's improvisation...the Cowboys are degenerating into a feast or famine offense once again...just nothing good until the final drive...57 1/2 minutes of sloppy, unfocused football...an encore performance on last week's outing...

...the one bright spot was Martellus Bennett who came alive today...i don't know why Romo and Roy are having so many issues but if it does'nt get corrected SOON they don't stand a chance of making it to the postseason...they are dead on offense right now...

...the defense is doing all it can but you would'nt expect them to hold teams to 6 points every week...

A win is a win. I'll take this one and just hope our offense wakes up real quick. Romo was off but still Williams and Crayton dropped catchable balls and Williams is beginning to look like a guy who doesn't want to be there. I thought a key moment in the game was when Romo, Garrett and then Austin got into a little huddle right before they got that TD drive. And also seeing Ware go up to Romo and give him a confidence pat, he needed it.

No, that is not all.

They would be in but they would quickly be embarrassed and sent home.

The offense is playing like **** right now. You don't win playoff games with 7 points and multiple turnovers.

Hoofbite, his question was clearly "Is this a Playoff Team" and the answer is yes.

Heck, besides Minnesota and New Orleans, we are playing just as well as anyone in the NFC with respect to winning.

Again, I believe people are really underrating how good the Skins and Packers defense is.

All valid complaints...enjoy them...bite your nails and look into the future at what seems to be inevitable...be miserable all week about the way we played and dread the next game.

Been there...done that...thank goodness the players don't look at it that way. I like Brookings attitude after the KC game...wins are hard to come by, and that's all they care about. They'll try to be better next week, but they deserve to hoop and hollar and enjoy the victory.

I choose to enjoy the victory and enjoy being in first place. Like all Cowboys fans, I've waited along time for this...I refuse to feel bad about my first place team.
Go Cowboys:bow:
Agreed. 7-3. 1st in da East. Another division win. I'll take it!! Go 'Boys!!!

We were every bit as unlucky last week.

I was just about to say that. Wins are hard to come by in this league. Period.

They've won 7 of 10 games and I'm not crying about that.

We finally won a game when Romo played poorly. That was nice to see.
Maybe he was just off, but I can't help thinking he had a hard time following through (landing on that left hip). If you're reluctant to land hard on the left leg than you'll miss guys high. He was more inaccurate than I have ever seen him so the hip MAY have been an issue. I hope he heals up quickly.

Couldn't have said it better myself. The defense is fine (except on 3rd and long), but the offense is a dead man walking and Garrett shows no clue how to fix it. How anyone can be satisfied with this performance or shrug it off is besides me. We are lucky we play the Raiders on Thursday, but I wouldn't put that one in the win column just yet. :bang2:

good points
Heres my glass half full stuff

We are 3-3 in close games. Nothing more I hate then having a losing record in close games. So this evened that score.

I hope Romo's bad game is attributable to his hip injury and it will be healed by the Giant game

The running game looked good for the first time in weeks

Lets peak later not in November like we have been doing.

The defense has stopped giving up td's late in the 4th which they were doing in every game until recently

Other thoughts -
I think we should try benching Williams, seriously, we have better talent on the sidelines. He is a liablility.

The worst case scenario if we implode this year is that it flushed out Wade Phillips (and maybe Garret). 08 flushed TO, myabe 2010 is our year.
But naturally I havent given up yet, Im just saying worst case scenario that would be how I saw this year

I CARE!!!!! Nice they beat the skins...fantastic...thrilling goes in the win column. Now tell me,is this team a playoff team as is..the way they are playing??? More importantly are they going to win a freaking playoff game the way they are playing on offense. That is my concern right now. Offense is lost out there.!!!!!!

Who cares? As long as they win and put themselves in a position to make some noise, I am happy. What matters is if they are firing on all cylinders in December.
