I dont like it. I think they could have gotten him at 36
Spencer wouldn't have been there at 36,no way.

Let's see, we basically traded our 3rd and 5th rounders for a 1st in next year's draft. Not too shabby!

I would not have picked Spencer simply because we have a bunch of LBs already but he is a good player and well worth the pick.

I am still hopeful we will take a WR in the 2nd round but it probably won't be Jarrett. Could be his teammate Steve Smith though which would be OK with me.

I'm holding my breath. Then again we could go OG if one falls.

you'd have to clueless to not know how some of us can see taking 3 LB in three years in the first round is kinda annoying. We're pulling a Detroit Lions with these picks.

there is a distinct difference between a linebacker and a passrusher we have taken 2 pass rushers, and 1 linebacker in the past three years.

the lions took 4 recievers, were fine man pass rushers are critical to sucsess as much as a great offensive line.

I want' high On spencer going in but we had an amazing draft today!

Y'all are insane.

This is sheer genius.

We got a guy who would have been a good pick at #22.
And we got a top 5 pick next year.
We only lost a 3rd and a 5th round pick.

The 5th round pick is a flyer pick anyhow and given our depth, would have been an extreme longshot to make this team.

So they way I see it, we gave up a quality player in the 3rd round for a top 5 pick next year.

This is absolutely amazing.

I agree,no doubt.When this day started,he seemed a likely choice,we
got him and pick up another 1st next year.An absolute beauty.

way to go guys.....phenominal pick........jerry i still want you to be my DADDY......

Exactly.

That's an incredible trade. ESPECIALLY when you look at the Cleveland team, the division they're in the and the schedule they play next year. Can you say top-5 pick? Cha-ching baby!

Love the pick. Absolutely love the pick!!!

And we get a high #1 pick next year for a 3rd and 5th - are you kidding me?

Today has already been a major success.:beer1: I'll drink to that!

They play the AFC East next season.......Ravens , Cincy, Pitt...top 5 pick for sure.

From all accounts Jesus had a lousy 40 time and did not look strong.

Maybe you guys are right. I am happy overall. Who do you guys like in the 2nd. I think if Jarrett makes it that far, I think it is good value.

Sidney Rice...

You give up a 3rd and a 5th this year,to pick up a 1st next year. Not only a 1st,but probably a top 5 pick,or top 10 at worst. Then you get Anthony Spencer with your first pick, what a great, great day for the cowboys. For all the people who are upset that we didn't take a wide receiver, relax, this draft is deep in wideouts.

Super stoked about the Cleveland trade. I'm just thinking we gave away a third (which is not a throw-away) to move up a few slots. I don't think that was a great deal. I guess that depends on Spencer. I just know we drafted another LB 1st last year and he barely played. But keep the LBs coming. Maybe next year we can pick up two first rounder LBs.

Even if the Browns do better than expected next season. Two number 1s? Some serious trade value there. Mwuahahaahahaa.
