I took the BPA:

  • 10. Penei Sewell (OT) Oregon
  • 44. Levi Onwuzurike (DT) Washington
  • 75. Hamsah Nasirilldeen (S) Florida State
  • 99. Trill Williams (CB) Syracuse
  • 115. Chazz Surratt (LB) UNC
  • 138. Shaun Wade (S) Ohio State
  • 179. Nick Eubanks (TE) Michigan
  • 192. Janarius Robinson (Edge) Fl State
  • 227. Jordon Scott (DT) Oregon
  • 238. Errol Thompson (LB) Mississippi St

I’d be okay with that draft, I like the players and am more than happy to address the trenches with our first two picks. However, I’d have a few of concerns:

1. Does Nasrildeen get a proper look at starting with Wilson/Neale? I like the player, I think he’s value here, but need for CB kicks in IMO, this is probably the latest I’d want to address CB, and I’d probably look to trade up 10-15 spots if it puts me in a position to get a good CB.

2. Wade to me is a niche Big Nickle option, maybe develops into a box safety, but I’d be uncomfortable putting him out there as a traditional single high safety or boundary corner. So I’m worried that leaves only Kazee suited for that type of role on the roster. I’d want a more traditional high safety.

3. A 4th round pick is late for the first CB pick IMO, it means Diggs/Brown/Lewis will likely remain as the starters while he develops. I think ideally we get a starter improving the starting position rather than depth.

I like the Onwuzurike pick. I’d bet that Dan Quinn would love to work with a young talent like that to fully develop his game at the pro level. I can’t help but to think that the Cowboys draft at least one or two young defensive tackles this year.

I’m just confused on what you tell Tyron and Collins if you draft Sewell? Trade them or what? They are both being paid well.

I believe Scott elected to stay in school. If not he's one of my favorite mid-rd 1T DT's

Not sure. It's possible they could try to have him compete inside at LG. I would say, I don't trust Tyron's health moving forward. He's shown that his body is breaking down.

I don't think you have to tell them anything. If either side has something to prove to the other, I'd say it's on both of them, not the team. Both are being well compensated and have not lived up to their paychecks as of late, while the team has undoubtedly paid them what they've agreed upon.

Tyron’s contract is dirt cheap. Collins had lived up to it until last year. Let’s hope they can both make it a season.

Can't help the club in the tub. It's not "cheap" when you're actually paying for 16 games and get an average of 11 over the last 5 years.

Collins had lived up to it until last year.

Not coincidentally the first year and offseason after his big payday.

Let’s hope they can both make it a season.

Certainly, but hope is not a strategy and I would have no problems if the team decided to cover themselves better than Cam Fleming, Cam Erving, or Ty Nsehke.

Awesome. Especially the first 2 picks. Teams are built from each line out not with Tight Ends and Corners.
Thank you
