The Cowboys doctor that performed the surgery apparently said that Smith will have a 10 year career, he just wasn't sure exactly when he gets back on the field. That the nerve damage had to heal first.

He is actually that good. I am by no means for this pick bc I think we should have taken him in the 4th. We need an end or dt more. But, this is the highest rated prospect at lb that anyone has seen in recent years. If he can play next year and returns to full form, we got a number 1 overall talent for a 2nd round pick
