I didn't want Ogbah or Dodd. Neither one of those guys can move very well latterally. How the hell can you be an edge rusher if you can't? Those guys at best will be interoir lineman IMO. Hell, even Bosa isn't all that great latterally.

But, this is the highest rated prospect at lb that anyone has seen in recent years. If he can play next year and returns to full form, we got a number 1 overall talent for a 2nd round pick

IF...Smith can play at 100% in 2017, then awesome. 2nd rd when we need defensive starters is a bit frustrating. I don't question his potential...he can't play for a year, IF ever.

It was clear that the Cowboys were excited about this pick since they essentially SPRINTED the pick in like someone was going to take it away from them. I am glad that they didn't trade up to make this pick though.

I like the fact that the Cowboys got talent. Everything is a risk. The risk with this pick is health. The talent is there. Good value if he gets healthy.

Still could have traded down and taken him. Not criticizing the player, just when he was picked. Crazy but I like the idea of taking elite talent but this kid could be out 2 seasons before he is 100%.

You would think but they seemed to know exactly when Lynch was going to go so maybe they knew of someone else nearby who was going to take him.

I'm not thrilled now, but next year he will probably be a star.

If people thought Jack was a "complete" LB than Smith would be more than complete.
