The Cowboys great win last Thursday was unusual in several ways. I heard an amazing stat today on The Ticket’s “Bad Radio” show today.

The stat is this: 2-316-1.

That’s the record of NFL teams when they have this kind of offensive performance and STILL WIN:
1. 13 points
2. Give up 7 sacks
3. Lose the turnover battle 2-1.

Yeah...it’s only the second time in NFL HISTORY a team had those 3 stat lines and still won a game!

That’s a testament to how dominant our defense was last Thursday.

I was thinking about the fact that our offensive line has actually been pretty bad this year (giving up the most sacks), you can say what you want about Dak but the kid has a heart the size of Texas and doesn't complain about a damn thing. I hope he continues to get better and better & silences the anti-Dak fanbase that is seemingly growing.

Not a lot of fans are talking about the O line being all back ups.

I'm guessing the other team was that Payton Manning lead Broncos SB team. They were terribad on offense and manning was a freaking statue at his worse.

Had to be them

BTW.......we need to pull off a Denver Broncos this season.

It was probably a blizzard game

Those old Ravens, Bears, or Tampa Bay Super Bowl teams could've had a line like this in a win too

I would imagine at least part of this is in relation to most of these bad offenses not being able to drive down the field. Ours was able to do that, just not cash in...

Easy TD to Bease on the Collins whiff fumble play. Then of course the Dak overthrow for an easy TD.

I know coulda, shoulda, woulda... But still if we capitalize that is 27-10. Point is I bet most offenses included in this stat didn't put up 350 yards of total offense. Probably something more comparable to the Jags offense.

Obviously yes the defense was the bigger factor holding the Saints to thier lowest yardage output in 16 years. Says enough

How they had the ball that long and only scored 13 points is beyond me. And they didn't miss field goals or anything.

Amazing the stat lines we can generate now.

Our defense was impressive but I suspect Brees had a horrific night as well. We had something to do with that of course but until we continue this type of performance I’m not ready to anoint them Doomsday III.

And our putrid offense and turnover apt QB almost gave it away a couple times.

Great win but if we don’t build from it, it will be for not.

Good stuff Bob!

I am amazed the ticket even came up with this, as much as I was we won’t the game.
:laugh::lmao:

I am guessing it's not those EXACT stats, as you wouldn't have that many games. Heck, perhaps those exact stats have not happened before. So I am guessing no more than 13 points, no less than seven sacks, and losing the turnover battle?
