Uncapped Year

Jerruh would be foolish to gamble on the absolute certainty that 2010 will be a year with no Salary cap. Not to mention there are some restrictions on that as well. I keep hearing people say that we can dump TO, Flo, and others with big contracts since we will have a year with no cap. If we do it now and there is a CAP we will be toast for how many years? SOME might forget that we already had a mild version of that some years ago and it really hurt= and that would be NOTHING on what we would have now.
There is still a decent chance there will be a deal since there still is more then a year to go.

Which is why the idea that some of these guys are getting cut this offseason is silly.

Now next offseason, if there really is no cap, then you might see Dallas, among others, dump players with big deals while they can to regroup.

But it's not happening this offseason.

Which is exactly why it was so foolish to give guys like Flozell Adams, Ken Hamlin, and Marion Barber huge deals.
