Unconfirmed: Sources says Romo to get "nod" at starter when activated

What are your reasons?

I just can't get over the fact we're able to have the discussion, meaning who on earth would have dreamed this conversation would have been possible after last year?

I'm still on cloud 9 that we have Dak and would never in a million years thought we would have gone 7-1 with him at the helm and Romo riding the pine.

If we had the #1 pick in last years draft and there was a QB we could have drafted that people said would be better than P Manning, I still wouldn't have thought we'd be 7-1.

I'm just so stunned and giddy that we have Dak and our QB of the future (barring some crazy injury, etc) that I cant analyze whats going on beyond the miracle I am witnessing.

I'm just glad its not my decision to make and hope the people that have to make the decision do so wisely

You got that right, we're debating something that no one in their widest dreams could have ever imagined we would be discussing. After what happened last season when Romo went down and being stuck with a rookie QB we drafted in the 4th round after losing him in preseason, it looked like another season down the drain. The only thing that I can relate this to is what happened with the 99 Rams who like the Cowboys last season went 4-12 the previous season. Trent Green goes down in preseason and Kurt Warner who know one outside the Rams organization had ever heard of comes in and has an MVP season, leading the Rams to a championship. We can only dream that our season ends up like that. Dak has been incredible, having one of the great rookie QB seasons ever.

What's even more amazing is his numbers are on par the first 8 games of the season with Romo's numbers from the first 8 games of the 2014 season and Dak has a better TD to turnover ratio. So far it's been an unbelievable dream of a season that has us talking about things that no one in their right mind would be talking about in regards to Romo's future. Dak has looked so good that we're talking about trading or releasing Romo. He's looked so good many of us are dreading going back to Romo. Who would have thought that could ever happen? This season has been the most unpredictable ever and I'm loving every minute of it.

Why? What's wrong with starting Romo for 2-3 games and if he sucks and we starting losing go back to Dak?
What's wrong is if you blow 1 or 2 games that you didn't need to, then you might very well lose home field advantage to Seattle for the playoffs (assuming that you even make the playoffs)

Wondering if Jerry is considering the possible ramifications of yanking a QB who may very well be 8-1 or better for one who has the same skin color as Jerry's?
