yeah no way Randle was in the same conversation as TP. TP can be a lead back but you can’t overwork him and still get all the explosive. He’s a great cog in a two back system but no doubt that balance should be more in his favor vs Zekes…it’s not close. In fact, Zeke needs replaced.

"Can be". It's just a guess. HE's never been a full time #1 in college or pros. So you don;t know he can carry that load and take that constant beating. He gets hurt in part time role....so....

I am not saying he can't. I would just advise some caution about it. You might end up both him AND Dak on IR if you screw it up.

And, yes, Tony Pollard looks so much like Joseph Randle in running style and production. If you refuse to see that, you're simply being stubborn and hard-headed. The comparison is very valid.

Comparisons doesn't make it a stubborn issue. we just see it differently.
For me, Pollard actually breaks more leg tackles than Randle, actually was a more explosive player than Randle. And that's both running the ball and kick returns.

Randle would've made a nice change of space nickel back, he had run instincts and a smooth style. but for whatever reason this club decided to make him a feature back
a feature back ..with major personal problems. .

The guy behind him....also injured with less touches. Does not bode well for this argument.
We also have to admit these guys run mostly different plays....rightly so. Different skill set. Zeke is better in the trench. Tony better in space. Tony can get more speed going while zeke has to evade defenders on handoffs

I dont have the numbers...but seems to me tony had much less success up the middle than in flats.

No he wasn't better. He was only better on his designated plays. Not when asked to do Zeke's plays. Unfortunately, Zeke was not asked to do some of Pollard's plays like he did in the past.
Later on as it had been pointed out, when he did get run plays to the outside, it worked, and defenses were off guard again. Then Moore stopped doing it again.

I dont think 21 getting snaps more than 20 was about anything more than pass blocking ability.

I'll freely admit I have a serious dislike for Elliott for a few reasons, but he is an absolute stud as a pass blocker, and priority #1, 2, 3 and 4 at the end of last season was keeping Prescott healthy after the previous season and NE scare.

I'd have probably found a way to get both on the field more often, but that's probably giving our OC a little too much credit. He is only a "genius" because Jerry Jones said so. Form your own opinion from there.

Elliott put up 283 more yards on 107 more carries. That's significant even if you try and word it as "barely."
I noticed you didn't mention TDs, but why would you when Elliott had 5 times the scores?
All while he was injured.
I wouldn't have drafted a RB 4th overall or extended him, but he's better than Pollard.
Pollard is a nice back up, change of pace RB. Nothing more.

I wouldnt give Pollard a full load. I would run him 15 times a game and pass to him 5 times. 20 touches sounds about right. Probably a 50/50 split with another talented back that could carry the load if needed. Then have a 3rd guy and use him in spells for the other 2.

I think if you reread the comments without the obsession for multi quoting....you find very few who actually disagree with "more touches"...except the guys that want zeke gone.
Theres a lot of people dissatisfied with run game as a whole. Long as km runs it....bleak outlook for what should be formidable.

And you're right. Very few do disagree with me. But there are a few. That was my point. I think most of the run game was due to McGovern's poor play. I saw times where Biadz was an asset. So, anyway, I think they got it figured out with Tyler Smith playing there. If he gets injured, we're up a creek.

The only reason Zeke is around is because of his cap. Cut Zeke as soon as there is a benefit from a cap perspective.

You're not getting it. It's more carries, more yards and more points. Averages can be misleading if that's all you look at. Which it is.
