Cornell Green...google him and he should easily be in the Cowboys Ring of Honor as he had a more impacting Cowboys career than Darren Woodson as defensive back. Green never missed a game in 13 seasons, he played 168 games, including 145 consecutive
starts for the Cowboys (
1962–
1974). He made five
Pro Bowls at two different positions —
cornerback and
strong safety. He is sixth in career interceptions (34) in Cowboys history. He retired as a player in September
1975, and went from part-time to full-time scout for the Cowboys. He scouted his replacements Charlie Waters and Cliff Harris. Green began scouting for the Dallas Cowboys in
1970 while still an active player and continued scouting through 1979. He spent 35 years scouting in the NFL, and 28 seasons doing it with the Broncos Super Bowl teams until 2015. In 2010, he received the AFC Scout of the Year Award from the Fritz Pollard Alliance
Everson Walls...11 interceptions as a rookie on a Cowboys team that went to the NFC Championship games. He led the league in interceptions from the CB position 3 times the most of any CB and only tied with Ed Reed, a safety, all time season leader in interceptions.
Bob Breunig...Was the final MLB triplet of Jerry Tubbs, and Lee Roy Jordan from 1960-1984 to own the MLB position with the Dallas Cowboys. Still holds the Cowboys single season tackler record of 167 stops. He ended his career as the franchise's second-leading tackler (behind Jordan) with 1,016 stops, having played in ten seasons, appearing in 20 playoff games, six
NFC championships and three
Super Bowls. He was a four-time team captain, a three-time
Pro Bowler, a second-team
All-Pro and a four-time
All-NFC selection.
