The only excuse, if you want to call it that is the same for all teams. Lose your quarterback/top players, your winning percentage goes down. With only the NFL cuts to look forward to, most offering no surprise, what better way to keep the news cycle going than to throw the Cowboys in in the mix.

I'm looking forward to the season, Let's Go Cowboys!!!

Can't wait for the next disgruntled/trade/or cut player to be linked to the Cowboys on the next slow news day:)

Well, I guess they need something to discuss, you know, for ratings and attention and stuff.

Did they discuss if TB will be worse off as they are missing more OL than us, trying to protect a Jurassic QB.

All they do is spin the same topic round and round.

Shannon : “Dallas isn’t any good without Amari, Randy, La’el. They won’t make the playoffs”

Change of topic a month later

Shannon : “No excuse not to make the playoffs!!”

You know nobody tunes in for that lol

The Cowboys would have to luck their way into a deep playoff run.

For 25 + years, there has been a lingering culture of entitlement and mediocrity.

That stigma has infected multiple generations of Cowboys' players, and it's very present in this current group too.

Do they "have the talent"? Sure. I guess.

Do they have the ability to persevere through, and overcome the hard times? That answer is, and has been, a resounding no. Over and over and over.

Until the Jones' leave, if the Cowboys are to ever realize success when games/moments truly matter, they'd have to go on a 2018 Eagles-like fluky type of run. Nothing can convince me otherwise.

They’ll be plenty of excuses if the OL and WRs are as bad as some think. The Cowboys offense isn’t stacked like it has been in previous years.

They didn't make a run last year. This year, they have a first place schedule and more question marks on offense.

I'm not expecting a playoff run. I'm not even sure they're a playoff team.

Exactly..lol, they have the same excuse they have had for the last 26 years....he runs the show from jocks to socks!
